Chevy seems to have figured it out first: make an attractive pickup that feels more like a car, and people will buy it. Simple, right? This 1955 Chevrolet 3100 pickup was probably the earliest example of that, and with all the upgrades, it definitely looks, feels, and acts more like a muscle car than some farm truck, and that's perfectly OK with us!
It's hard to make one of these trucks look bad, but the guys who built this one nailed the little stuff that makes it stand out in a crowd. To start, they shaved most of the chrome trim, including the door handles and hood ornament, which makes it look slick without diluting the '50s shape. Then they punched some louvers in the hood, a time-honored hot rod modification that's also functional because it lets heat out from under the hood. Out back, there are more louvers (lots more) in the tailgate which is finished with a custom roll pan with Corvette taillights built right in. It's all drenched in silky black paint that shows quite well despite being a few years old. Not perfect, but this truck definitely has presence! The stepside bed certainly helps with the aggression factor, and with a rubber bed liner and a tonneau cover, it's as practical ... Please ask for the full description.

The stepside bed certainly helps with the aggression factor, and with a rubber bed liner and a tonneau cover, it's as practical as it is attractive.
The interior got a full-lux makeover, too, with a split bench from a late-model wrapped in comfortable gray tweed upholstery. Matching door panels help civilize the working class pickup and all the amenities are included. The natural wood center console is kind of a cool touch, offering a rustic look to contrast with all the polished aluminum and gray fabric, and I have to admit that I like it. It serves a good purpose, too, because it not only includes the AM/FM/CD stereo head unit and speakers, but also a pair of cup holders that are apparently a necessity these days. A tidy A/C system was installed under the dash and hidden within a custom enclosure and cool digital instruments (can digital even be old school yet?) monitor the engine's vitals. A tilt wheel and Grant GT steering wheel enhance the long-distance cruising abilities of this truck, and with carpets and new weather seals, it's quiet on the highway.
No surprises under the hood, where you'll find a 350 cubic inch Chevy V8, but that's what you'd want in a truck that you're actually going to use. It's dressed in Chevy Orange, offers the usual chrome bits, and all the ancillaries are modern, so it's reliable as well as powerful. The yellow wiring helps add contrast to all that black paint, and with a big aluminum radiator up front, you never have to worry on hot days. It's backed by a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission, which gives this truck very long legs on the highway and a 10-bolt rear end with a few suspension tricks of its own. The stance is exactly right and with adjustable Air Ride suspension, you can fine-tune it to suit your tastes without killing ride quality. Slick 17-inch Ridler wheels look like vintage Torque Thrusts and carry 215/60/17 front and 255/60/17 rear performance radials that are tall enough to look right on the pickup.
You're going to really dig this truck. It doesn't put a foot wrong anywhere on the build, it runs great, and looks mean, all for a very affordable price. Call today!
