Some cars can get by on looks alone, but this awesome 1969 Camaro RS/SS coupe ably demonstrates that there's often substance under the style. Red over houndstooth with a cool rake, this one hits all the right visual notes, and with receipts totaling nearly $40,000 JUST IN PARTS, well, it's not just handsome, but potent as well.
Looking like a heavyweight fighter in a tuxedo, this F-body is all dressed up with an RS grille and hidden headlights, white SS stripes, and a ducktail spoiler. There's a lot of effort tied up in getting the sheetmetal straight enough to wear the sizzling Torch Red paint so well, and while it's not a trailer queen, people will definitely sit up and take notice every time this predator rolls in. You can see how smooth and flat the bodywork is in our photos-take note of how clear the reflections are, and the paperwork bears out the amount of effort and cash that went into the build. Gaps are good, too, so you won't worry about hurting that lovely paint when you slam the hood. Of course, there's a cowl-induction hood to give it the right attitude, and all the chrome has been refinished or polished, so it glitters against the paint like jewelry.

The interior is a fresh black and white houndstooth setup, and if you need evidence that GM stylists were hitting on all eight cylinders in 1969, you need look no further than this gorgeous Camaro. Fresh seat covers duplicate the factory patterns, and the other stuff like door panels and carpets are brand new, too. You'll also note an interesting combination of features in this one, including a tilt column, power brakes, and power steering, a center console, and an AM/FM/CD stereo. The gauges are white-faced Auto Meter pieces, including the quartet of auxiliary dials down low on the console in the traditional style. The cool horseshoe shifter has always been a favorite, but the B&M piece is a lot more accurate when you're running hard and need an edge. The neatly finished trunk offers a new mat, and a peek underneath reveals no issues that should raise eyebrows. Nice!
The engine is a fresh 350 cubic inch crate motor detailed to dazzle and covered in bright chrome and billet trim. With bright aluminum chrome valve covers and a chrome air cleaner, it gets the basics right and finishes with a lot of other shiny bits that practically require sunglasses to examine. The engine was treated to an .030 overbore and is fed by a polished Edelbrock intake and a Holley 4-barrel carburetor. Actually the list of parts is extensive (just the summary covers nearly three pages), so we can't cover them all, but suffice to say that this sucker is full of the good stuff. The transmission is a built TH350 3-speed automatic feeding a fresh 12-bolt rear with 3.55s on a Posi and rear disc brakes. Long-tube headers, an X-pipe,a nd Magnaflow stainless mufflers give it the most spectacular baritone voice this side of the Metropolitan Opera house and you can see that virtually everything under the car is brand new. More than $2000 worth of new polished Torque Thrust wheels wear staggered 235/40/17 front and 255/40/17 rear BFG radials.
Take a good look, but I think you'll have a hard time resisting this awesome Camaro. Call now and we'll be happy to show you everything that went into the build.
