This 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible has been upgraded to the big V8, plenty of 442-style appeal, and an interior with plenty of the right luxuries. So it's an all-around great drop-top cruiser that also has some serious muscle whenever you want it.
These cars are known for their Coke-bottle curves, so it only seems fitting to have one finished in red with a white top. And not only does the profile have style, but so do the details. You see it in the way the chrome bumpers are an integral part of the design, and the hood has a deeply dipping center to give extra definition to the dual grilles. This drop-top also gets the sporty look right with 442 badges, hood vent trim, large dual exhaust tips, and Super Stock wheels. So this one knows how to signal that there's a big V8 within even before you let the exhaust rumble (more on that in a moment.)
The upgrade to a white interior means you get the same Coca-Cola style with the roof up or down. There are even nice details, like the matching white convertible boot cover and premium wood-like trim. Description
This has all the right features for a comfortable cruiser, like a power convertible top, an AM/FM/CD stereo, and provisions for factory air conditioning upgraded to R134a (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) These might have been classified as the intermediate size, but that still means plenty of room for up to six people to spread out over two rows of wide benches. But anytime you want individual comfort, the folding armrest gives the driver a bucket seat style feeling. And the tilt column and round gauge package - including a factory tach - makes this a driver friendly car.
This one earns its 442 badging with an upgrade to Oldsmobile's mighty 455 cubic-inch V8. It's upgraded further with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock Performer intake. And as you look around the engine bay, you'll spot more worthwhile investments, including a new dual master cylinder and an aluminum radiator. The V8 fires up nicely, runs strong, and makes a proper V8 tune from the dual exhaust. It's a big power machine, but it also settles into an easy cruising nature with ease. That's thanks to features like a four-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, and upgraded Wilwood front discs.
This is the loaded Olds drop-top with some terrific power under your foot. It's a cool classic with plenty of muscle car flair. Call today!!!
