This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro was built to be a Z/28 tribute, but you can also see it has a ton of its own distinction added into the mix. With a cool matte finish, a fully upgraded suspension, and a big block with extra go-fast goodies, it's a unique and powerful icon.
Matte red is absolutely mean... like the devil wants to be a street brawler. But the well-done satin finish also lets the sun show off straight body panels with even gaps. The chrome bumpers, stainless trim, and Rally wheels make for a cool contrast with their bright flair. A '69 Camaro is such an icon because we know these can be speedy machines, and the Z/28 style only upgrades its attitude. It's in the cowl hood, blackout grille, front air dam, full badging, and D80 rear spoiler. And you'll love details that add a touch more attitude, like the hood pins and tinted taillights.
The black interior looks good against the red, especially with the nice look of the headliner, upholstery, and carpeting. There are some premium details like the headrests, deluxe door panels, and wood-like trim on the dash. But what this one is really all about is a powerful performance machine.
That's why you have desirable factory-style pieces like bucket seats, a center console, a horseshoe shifter, and a large speedo and tach directly in front of you. These are joined by the right upgrades, like a grippy sports steering wheel and a quad auxiliary gauge package now with crisp SunPro readouts.
The engine bay is filled with big block power. The 396 cubic-inch V8 was larger than what the racing rules allowed in the Z/28, and in fact, it's the largest powerhouse you could get in this Chevy. And that's just the base for a motor that's upgraded with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, and a cam that allows for a true muscle car idle and a terrific growl out of the H-pipe dual exhaust. There are also right investments in supporting components, like MSD 6A ignition, Blaster coil, HEI distributor, billet fender braces, and a Be Cool aluminum radiator with electric fan. Not only is the motor well-supported for this big power, but also so is the suspension. You now have a tubular A-arm front end, subframe connectors, Hotchkis rear traction bars, and Hotchkis sway bars front & rear. Plus, there's power steering, power brakes, front discs up front, and a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission that's stout and smooth.
This Z/28 tribute has a mean look and an even meaner motor. So if you love a powerful Camaro, then you know you need to get your hands on this red devil. Call today!!!
