This 1939 Oldsmobile Sedan wears its classic sheetmetal nicely, but you can instantly tell this is more than just a pre-war cruiser. With a slick two-tone, V8 upgrade, comfy A/C interior, and plenty more, it's a head-turning custom classic built to drive the modern streets.
General Motors had some of the best-looking bodies around in the late 1930s, and Oldsmobile showed it nicely. A triple-wide grille, wraparound chrome bumpers, and bullet-style headlights that melded into the fenders really gives this one a terrific front end. And the rounded rear with formal trunk-back style is pure vintage elegance. But the desire here goes beyond its classic looks. The two-tone silver and black is a timeless color combination, and this takes advantage of more modern practices to give it a nice luster that loves to draw extra attention to the curves of the sheetmetal. And the full red pinstriping package provides a distinct dividing line for the paint and terrific accenting for the full-length side trim. The suicide doors are always a cool classic touch, and they are your gateway to an upgraded interior. The rear takes advantage of the Oldsmobile's already terrific legroom and gives you a comfy bench refinished in two-tone cloth. Even the door panels were done to match. The front is even more comfortable as the two-tone was used on high-back bucket seats with headrests and individual armrests. Yours even power adjusts to the ideal driving position. The dash has more of that cool exterior black with custom red pinstriping. Plus, it neatly houses worthwhile upgrades, like the AM/FM/CD stereo and cold-blowing R134a air conditioning. The steering wheel has a vintage look but a modern grippy feel, and beyond that the Dakota Digital gauges glow in a cool blue with all the info about what's going on in the engine bay.
Under the hood they've upgraded you to proper small block power. It has the good look of a professional installation and good care, right down to nice belts and an electric fan. The 350 cubic-inch V8 inhales deeply with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with a sweet sound out of the glasspack dual exhaust. This is built to be a good driver, and you'll see that in suspension components like the upgraded front end and trailing arms on the rear. Plus, you have power steering, a three-speed automatic transmission, and power brakes w/discs up front.
This Olds is a true classic that's been upgraded to be a true comfortable cruiser. It's a total package that won't stay long at this price, so call today!
