This 1966 Plymouth Belvedere II convertible has a fantastic presence, exceptional documentation, a strong 383 V8, and the overall satisfaction of owning a distinct and complete Mopar drop-top.
We don't just love that this convertible has a cool black paint with a white top, but we're also excited to know it was born this way. That's because we have the window sticker and other docs that you usually don't get with a lot of classics. It makes this one feel extra special, but then again, it was already quite distinct. There were only about 5,200 convertibles built across the Belvedere line in 1966, and 55 years later, a quality example is quite a rare sight. So it's great to find such a complete example that keeps all the right details, like the full-length trim, hood ornament, bright/bright chrome bumpers, proper badging, and wide dual exhaust tips. We think the overall presentation looks ideal for a respected classic, right down to the right balance of shine and age in the paint. But when you're dealing with a rare Mopar that is highly documented, you also know any extra investment you want to make will be worth every penny.

While the white convertible top looks distinguished against the black exterior, it gets even better when you power it down. After all, there is just something devilishly attractive about a black convertible with a red interior. This has a highly original style, right down to the texture of the bench seats. There looks like there were some newer investments in fundamentals, like the carpeting, steering wheel, and dash cover. But it's all about keeping this one looking vintage. That's why we love details like the working AM radio.
This was at the dawn of the muscle car era, and this one celebrates it correctly. It was born a 383 cubic-inch V8 car, and so we're happy to see a big block still in this coupe. In fact, this motor has the right casting date to be the original one for the car. The consignor states this was rebuilt, and the way this one fires up and runs reaffirms the feeling of a solid investment. It inhales deeply with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with a sweet rumble out of the updated glasspack style dual exhaust. Out on the road, you're going to feel plenty of power, but there's comfort present, too. The power steering, three-speed automatic transmission, power brakes, and front disc brakes all contribute to an overall easy cruising feeling in this Mopar drop-top.
You're looking at a special car, and so the paperwork file includes the broadcast sheet, original window sticker, the Certi Card warranty card, owner's manual, dealer brochures, original bill of sale, and first title. This is a true rarity presented with pedigree. That makes for a terrific big block drop-top classic. Call today!!!
