215 BUICK V8, 4-SPEED, CLASSIS COLOR COMBO, POP-UP SLEEPER, RUNS & DRIVES GREAT!

This 1968 Volkswagen Bus is a Westfalia camper. And since that wants you to hit the open road, you'll be shocked and pleased to see a larger and more powerful V8 upgrade in the rear. It makes for a better wanderer that's also fun to take to the shows.

This Type 2 Bus has the great classic look you love with bold orange, and then a secondary white coming in for the roof, bumpers, and wheels for a comprehensive two-tone. It's the right look for those who want to drive their classic camper. That's why it's also built with long-haul features, like a full-size spare mounted to the front, a roof rack, and a trailer hitch. But that's all what you can get on the usual Type 2s. What makes this one particularly unique is the custom box and radiator hanging off the rear, and you'll find out more about that in a moment.

The driver's seat has classic Bus features like the dual-spoke steering wheel and VDO gauges. You even have a vintage AM/FM radio with 8-track. There are handy additions. Some are for comfort, like the cup holders. Others make a better driver, like the auxiliary gauges and tach mounted on the dash. Behind this is a true home away from home. There are built-in storage ... Please ask for the full description.

There are built-in storage cabinets, the floor is linoleum, there's a fold-up table with opposed seating, a 110V outlet, and there are even provisions for a sink and refrigerator (they will need servicing.) You have full side curtains and the windows are deeply tinted for added privacy. And of course, you have the pop-up top that gives you a great bed for camping.

The rear is where the most interesting part of this Bus is. It has been given an upgrade to a classic Buick 215 cubic-inch V8. Not only is this double the cylinders and more than double the displacement you got from VW in 1968, but also this aluminum block doesn't give a large weight penalty. And this one now even has a four-barrel carburetor on top. It makes for a solid running package. The large aluminum radiator shows that this water-cooled conversion has the right support. Plus, there are also features like a Pertronix Flamethrower coil and an Optima Yellow top battery. The added power is firmly under your control with the four-speed manual transmission that was overhauled in 2017. And the standard VW suspension handles it all quite well. So while you still won't be taking this to the drag races, you will be quite happy the next time you go camping anywhere there are hills.

Complete with maintenance records, this is the classic Westfalia camper that was made to take you to more places with ease. So if you want to be a true wanderer, this V8 VW is irresistible. Call today!!!
