The absolutely iconic lines of the 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air hardtop have been given a modern and powerful makeover. After all, this has an unbelievably slick two-tone. And there's big rear tires, four-on-the-floor, and an awesome big block under the hood. Best of all, you get to enjoy the full package from the comfort of an A/C interior.

This one instantly announces it's something special. Two-tones were terrific to have on a '55 Chevy, but the presentation is quite modern here. After all, maroon and champagne have a timeless kind of feel, but the level of metallic here makes it unmistakably modern. So the sunshine radiates as it evenly rolls across the whole car. And the side trim makes for a fantastic dividing line for the dueling colors. And speaking of the brightwork, you can tell they spent a small fortune getting it this complete and sparkling. It includes the wraparound bumpers, wide grille, and all the trim that make these Tri-Five Chevys true American icons. But more than just history, this one instantly announces it has been given plenty of modern performance upgrades. The polished Centerline racing wheels draw attention to the extra-meaty Mickey Thompson tires in the ... Please ask for the full description.

Description

502 BBC V8, MUNCIE 4-SPEED, 4-WHEEL PWR DISCS, PS, A/C, UPGRADD SUSPNSION, CLEAN

The polished Centerline racing wheels draw attention to the extra-meaty Mickey Thompson tires in the back.

The interior continues the classic style that's mixed with plenty of modern upgrades. A great example of this is the seats. The dual benches have a very cool classic style, and the upholstery pattern is pure vintage cool. But the look and feel of the white with gray cloth inserts is pure modern freshness. The door panels, carpeting, and headliner all continue this fresh and quality feeling. And because this Bel Air has been upgraded to R134a air conditioning, feel free to roll down all the windows on this pillarless hardtop and share the style with the world. And from the moment you sit down, you know this is an upgraded driver's machine. You get a wood and chrome steering wheel mounted on a tilt column. Beyond that is a full set of Classic Instruments gauges, and the added tach goes especially well with the Hurst floor shifter.

Under the hood continues this car's theme of terrific shine and the right upgrades. In fact, all those polished components make this one already prepared for the car show. While the '55 Chevy debuted the small block, this one is running the largest of big blocks. It's a 502 cubic-inch performance crate V8. It has been given the right go-fast goodies like aluminum heads, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, an aluminum intake, and long tube headers that feed the growling dual exhaust. Plus, it has the right supporting components, like serpentine belts, MSD ignition, and an aluminum radiator/w electric fans. The four-speed manual transmission gives you full control over the motor, and this sends the power to a stout 12-bolt rear. As you look at the undercarriage photos, you get to see the full view of the updated frame, and the ladder bar rear end with diagonal link and adjustable coilovers. Plus, power steering and four-wheel power disc brakes keep this street-eating package under your control.

This is the iconic Chevy that's built to own the streets. Don't let something this awesome slip away, call today!
