390 V8 W/ A 3-SPEED AUTO, PWR BRAKES/STEER, A/C, UPGRADED INTERIOR, RESTO RECPTS

This 1962 Ford Thunderbird has terrific paint, a luxury leather interior, big V8 power, and an overall solid investment to create a well-executed classic personal luxury vehicle. Who knew the distinction could be available at such an obtainable price?

This is truly art on wheels. Today no one would be able to produce the complicated sheet metal and chrome that Ford used to create their top-of-the-line luxury car. This is the perfect merger of soft curves with sharp creases. It starts up front where a sleekly rounded hood ends at a point to give the Thunderbird a true beak. And this custom paint theme really brings it out. The silver draws your eye to bold pieces like the hood scoop and hardtop. And there's a nice gloss to the burgundy so that you can see the gentle curves that form the rear. The Thunderbird's full-length trim was already a clever way to hide the door handles, and on this custom coupe, it also provides a clear dividing line for the two-tone. Plus, mirror-like chrome bumpers, a custom chrome grille, bright trim, and upgraded polished wheels give this plenty of flair. But a Thunderbird loves to live up to the sporty style that its name inspires. You see it with ... Please ask for the full description.

You see it with classic pieces, like the afterburner-style tail lights. And this upgrades the attitude with staggered wheel sizes and a forward-leaning stance, too. It's all part of a thoughtful total package that wants to give you a custom look without giving up the vintage style.

The interior is a full premium setup that looks awesome. Leather upholstery, "Mercedes" carpeting, and a suede-like headliner give this the luxurious feel of a modern car. And because the T-bird was a personal cruiser, Ford even gave everyone a bucket seat style setup - even the rear. You've got amenities like an AM/FM/CD stereo w/iPod input, provisions for R134a air conditioning (it will need servicing), and power windows mean you can show off the pillarless hardtop without leaving the driver's seat. And speaking of your position, it really feels like a personal experience, because the dash and console wrap around you. And you have a tilt steering column to give you a clear view of the large gauges w/upgraded AutoMeter tach.

The engine bay was also part of this full car's restoration/transformation in 2005. The 390 cubic-inch V8 was rebuilt, and now it includes a full Edelbrock suite that includes aluminum heads, an aluminum water pump, and an Edelbrock intake. Plus, there's a Holley four-barrel carburetor, mild cam, and an X-pipe dual exhaust w/Magnaflow mufflers. It also is supported by good pieces, like an MSD ignition and upgraded radiator. It makes for a strong-running powerful package. And to make sure this T-bird is an all-around easy cruiser, you also have power steering, power brakes, and a three-speed automatic transmission that was rebuilt around the same time as the motor.

Complete with build receipts, this is a beautiful T-Bird with a standout presence. So you need to hurry because a complete classic with custom style like this may never be this affordable again. Call today!!!
