348 TRI-POWER V8, 2-SPEED POWERGLIDE, PWR B/S, SLICK TWO-TONE COLOR, DRIVES GR8!

This 1958 Chevrolet Impala represents a highly desirable model of a one-year design. This well-restored example has the cool black-on-black theme, and best of all, under the hood is a big-block with tri-power on top!

The trim tag tells us this was born an Onyx Black car. And the deep shine you see today tells you there has been a big investment in keeping this looking like a rolling icon. More than just the paint, the car is a visual delight with awesome details everywhere you look. Check out the chrome grille that runs from end to end in the front of this lower, wider, and longer '58 Chevy. The hardtop styling of the top-of-the-line Impala just looks fast standing still, and you can see how this first-year car really launched the now legendary nameplate. There are daring design pieces, like how the rear quarter panels began an outline that would seamlessly wrap around the taillights for an appearance like tailfins turned on their side. In fact, this one shows off all the best classic cruiser pieces. You see it in the dual aerials, faux side exhaust trim, and fender skirts. They even added continental kit for even more classic style. All this brightwork is essential to properly ... Please ask for the full description.

Description

All this brightwork is essential to properly represent the '58 Impala's unique look, and all is present and shining. Even the factory stylized wheel covers and whitewalls are on this one. So overall, you know some real time and money was spent getting this big Chevy look this amazing.

Inside is more black, but the stylists really took their time, and so there's much more going on here. For example, the black seats receive a cool tri-tone insert that both breaks up the sea of darkness and adds distinction. The door panels are even done to match. There's a freshness in the fundamentals that are telltale sign of a proper investment. They even paid attention to the details, like working dome light, working clock, and the correct tissue holder. It all has that overall look of quality that will have you rolling down all the windows on this pillar-less hardtop so that everyone can get a good view inside. And when you're out on the road, the retro-style AM/FM digital tuner with aux input gives you proper driving tunes.

Take a good look at the engine bay. 1958 is a very desirable year because it was the first time the big block V8 was available in passenger cars. If you were really lucky, a 348 cubic-inch motor came with the tri-power (triple two-barrel carburetor) you see here. So you have a clean and tidy presentation that makes it easy to show off this important motor, and there's a bit of the right history with a 1958-corrrect engine block. And just like the rest of the car, they gave it some good upgrades. So you'll spot the Optima red top battery, 12-volt electrical system, and a newer aluminum radiator. The undercarriage photos show off how fresh this is over every inch. But you'll still want to take this out on the road thanks to easy cruising features like the Powerglide automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes.

Complete with the owner's manual, this is a detail-oriented restoration of the desirable single-year design that launched the Impala name. So if you love classic American motoring history, you know this is your rolling nostalgia. Call today!!!
