RARE LT1 W/ #'S MATCH 350 V8 & MUNCIE 4-SPEED, FOLDER OF ORIG DOCS, RESTORED C3!

There are few more desirable Stingrays out there than this 1970 Chevrolet Corvette LT1. This is a restored and well-documented coupe that loves to show off it's factory blue-on-blue style. But the part you'll be showing off the most is the highly correct presentation of the almighty numbers-matching LT1 V8.

The LT1 was one of the hottest small blocks ever to hit the streets, and we love it in the factory-correct Mulsanne Blue. The name instantly gets people thinking about LeMans, and a good respray later in life means it looks vibrant out on a sunny Sunday drive. The lines on this Stingray are crisp, and so you really get to see the sharply-pointed front end, flared fenders, and flying buttress rear pillars. And of course, the LT1 has the special hood with white stripe package that helps outline the power dome. This one really takes the time to be an accurate-looking classic, right down to the Goodyear Polyglas tires on the shining Rally wheels. And the reason to make sure this looks so correct is because you have true rarity. There were less than 1,300 LT1 Corvettes in this inaugural year, and the paperwork on this shows it's a Canadian car, which only adds to its rarity. The ... Please ask for the full description.

Description

The low odometer is even believed to reflect actual mileage.

The full sea of blue continues inside. The lighter exterior with darker interior gives this the kind of sophisticated look you'd expect on a European sports car, and this all-American was born this way! The bucket seats, door panels, carpeting, and center console all look vibrant and have been treated with good respect. It has a correct look on everything from the AM/FM stereo to the three-spoke sports steering wheel on the tilt column. In fact, take a closer look at the wheel. The center cap has a Zora Duntov signature. We don't have any documentation to show that this is his actual autograph, but it is a good reminder that the LT1 was one of his race-bred projects. And because this is a driver's machine, you'll love how the large speedo and tach dance in front of you, while the full auxiliary readout package prominently to the side at eye-level. Plus, don't forget that this comes from the years of the removable rear window. It combines with the T-tops for a convertible-like experience.

Under the hood is what makes this car extra-special. This is the numbers-matching LT1 350 cubic-inch V8. It's the ultimate small block built with forged internals and solid lifters direct from Chevy. And as you look over the whole engine bay, you'll spot the right pieces, like the finned aluminum valve covers, Winters aluminum intake, and the correct big Holley four-barrel carburetor. This special V8 fires up with gusto, and you can just tell it's ready to hit the road. And you're in full control thanks to the numbers-matching Muncie M20 four-speed manual transmission. In fact, speaking of control, this Stingray is a terrific sports car with a fully independent sports suspension, four-wheel power disc brakes, and a Positraction rear end.

The sale comes complete with all the right paperwork to prove this is a very unique machine. It includes the factory buildsheet, bill of sale, dealer invoice, original warranty card, owner's manual, and maintenance records. Rarity, power, and beauty all come together on this LT1 Stingray. So if you're a collector, you know this needs a prime space in your garage. Call today!!!
