There's no cooler car for the money out there right now. After all, you get the custom look of a streamlined 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible, and beneath it all is the performance heart of a 2002 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28. And these two Chevy legends unite to deliver a loaded interior, plenty of power, and stunning looks.
This one does a terrific job of celebrating one of the most iconic classics out there, and at the same time, it also adds modern flair. Easy Rods have a complete fiberglass reskin available that makes an impressive street machine. This really gets the Bel Air details right with the iconic chrome front end, fenders hooding the headlights, tailfins, intricate chrome rear bumper, and even the gold Chevrolet badging to signal a powerful V8 beneath the hood. They allow the full-length trim to run almost seamlessly from the front to the iconic fan-style tailfin trim. And as you're enjoying the whole presentation, don't forget to check out the wheels. Those polished 18-inch units not only look great against all the bright trim, but also these Z06-style alloys pay tribute to yet another Chevy legend.
Pop the remote door openers, and this reveals its Camaro roots... and that's a good thing. After all, no '57 Chevy offered high-back bucket seats and a ton of modern amenities. You get a cup holder center console, power locks, cruise control, dual airbags, ABS, and an AM/FM/CD stereo. Plus, the dash has a nice plaque to remind you that this is a special Camaro even before the Bel Air style was added. 2002 was the final year of the 4th-gen Camaro as well as the car's 35th anniversary. This special machine was absolutely made to be a driver. There's a power driver's seat that gets you the ideal position for the leather-wrapped steering wheel and full gauge package. Plus, there's power windows and a power convertible top, so you never have to leave the driver's seat to get the wind-in-your-hair experience. And there's even cold factory air conditioning so you can enjoy top-down motoring long into the summer.
This later 4th gen Z/28 also means more muscle than some of the earlier cars. The LS1 was the kind of small-block that got all of us instantly excited from day one. More refined, lighter, and more powerful than its predecessor, it pushed the Camaro past the 300 hp barrier. The performance and modern dependability only get better on this example that was rebuilt around 8,500 miles ago. And while this is ready to show off – right down to the custom pinstriping – this setup is also terrific for enjoying on the road. The four-speed automatic transmission is great for overdrive cruising or quick kick-downs for a performance run. Plus, there's plenty of control with four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, and Bridgestone Potenza performance tires.
Complete with the reproduction window sticker, owner's manual, and maintenance records, this is the head-turning convertible that will be memorable no matter if you're at the car show or the supermarket. So get ready for the custom that can do it all. Call today!!!
