Description

The 1964 Ford Falcon Sprint is a '64 Mustang in sheep's clothing. The Sprint features the same stiffer suspension and a 260 cu inch V8. The Falcon Sprint was discontinued after 1965, making it a good choice for the Mustang fan who wants something a bit different. This example is a factory Sprint, as indicated by the 63E body code.

This Sprint is the beneficiary of an accurate exterior restoration, with correct Sprint badges and chrome trim that looks new. Stock rally wheels suit the car better than aftermarket rims, and 205/70R14 BFGoodrich tires with raised white letters look great on this car. The hallmark of any falcon is the chrome trim along the side resembling a rocketship, complete with the round, red taillights to mimic the rocket's flames. The car itself won't cook you, however. Everything appears brand-new inside the car as well. Under the hood you'll find a Ford 260, with chrome valve covers and Sprint badging, a chrome air filter cover and exposed filter element. This restoration has been thorough: Everything appears fresh and new here as well, from a clean coat of engine paint to genuine Ford radiator hoses. The engine is paired to a two-speed automatic transmission.
Notice also the factory single-exit exhaust: That famous Ford V8 sound is unmistakable, but in this one at least it won't blow out your eardrums every time you want to floor it.
