The right look, four-on-the-floor, and plenty of V8 power under the hood – this 1968 Pontiac GTO is everything you want from the icon... and it's ready to roll right now at quite a nice price.
The GTO is the father of the muscle car, and nothing represents a true street-eating classic better than a bold red. This one stands out even further because the factory-correct Solar Red was given a professional respray. So you have a terrific clearcoat luster that really pops in the sunshine. This red looks so good that they even a painted the rear bumper – a subtle addition that adds distinction without losing the full vintage muscle car feeling. In fact, this has all the right classic GTO elements, including the dual hood scoops, badging, and Endura front end (exclusive to real-deal GTOs in '68.) Plus, Pontiac's Rally II wheels are practically legends all on their own. So it's great to see then complete, right down to the PMD center caps.
This car started out life with a parchment interior, but we all know nothing looks better against the exterior red than a nice dark black. So this was given a full upgrade later in life. This has all the right vintage details with everything from the ... Please ask for the full description.

This car started out life with a parchment interior, but we all know nothing looks better against the exterior red than a nice dark black. So this was given a full upgrade later in life. This has all the right vintage details with everything from the wood-like paneling on the dash, to the AM radio that's still on display. But more than just nostalgia, this one gives you a terrific performance feeling. You slide into a proper bucket seat, grab the grippy three-spoke steering wheel, and look out on a full gauge panel, including auxiliary readouts and upgraded tach. And you just know your enthusiast heart will get racing the moment your right hand grabs the Hurst shifter.
It wouldn't be a '68 GTO without the big 400 cubic-inch V8 under the hood. It looks nice in the engine bay with its correct turquoise block, shiny valve covers, and matching air topper. The big V8 inhales deeply with a four-barrel carburetor. And it exhales with authority as the headers add even more power while also contributing to the rumble of the dual exhaust. Best of all, you have complete control over this V8 and its thunderous soundtrack thanks to the four-speed manual transmission. Plus, you even have great driving features like power steering and BF Goodrich T/As with plenty of deep tread.
The sale comes complete with Pontiac Historic Services (PHS) documentation and build receipts – documenting $5k invested in this car during 2016 alone. So you know you're looking at a bold real-deal classic GTO for an unbeatable price. Don't let this deal slip away, call today!
