Good, clean, honest pickups like this 1955 Chevrolet 3100 are getting tougher to find all the time. Some guys want all the creature comforts, so they modify these old trucks, but if you want one that delivers that authentic old truck experience for not a lot of cash, this neat pickup is a great choice.
The two-tone Hunter Green and black combination is a classic and traditional look for Chevy trucks dating back to the '30s. Now it may not be as authentic on a mid-50s pickup, but we can certainly see where the restorer was going with this one and he did a very good job with it. The metalwork is in great shape, the doors fit well, and the finish has a soft gloss that works perfectly on an old truck; not too shiny but not too worn out, either. We particularly like the stepside bed, which in 1955 was stylized to make the truck look like it was moving even when it was standing still. You also get some nice chrome bumpers that look very much like those found on passenger cars, as well as attractive wooden stakes on the bed to give it an old fashioned look.
