DROPTOP CONVERTED Z/28, ORIG F/I 305 V8, AUTO, MAINT RECEIPTS & HISTORICAL DOCS!

This 1986 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Convertible combines a cool history, great care, and the undying appeal of a drop-top fuel-injected V8 sports car. So get a good look at a sleek, loaded, and distinct Z-car.

We don't get to see too many black Camaros of this generation, and that's a shame. After all, this one shows that a sleek and dark finish really complement the design lines. Not only does this one have glossy paint and terrific body panels, but gets even more impressive when you realize this shows all signs of being original to the car. That's the advantage of a Camaro that has only averaged about 1,900 miles annually. The secret to this car's good care is likely in the window sticker. This was built before the official 3rd gen Camaro convertibles. You can see from the documentation that this was one of the rare specialty converted coupes. That added over 25 percent right to the price of this already loaded coupe, and so there were few people who could afford it. Today, that means you're likely to be the youngest 3rd gen convertible to show up in any crowd. The silver lower section on the Z/28 is a great way to show off the factory body kit, especially with the triple strip ... Please ask for the full description.

The silver lower section on the Z/28 is a great way to show off the factory body kit, especially with the triple strip fade just above it. Even the factory 15-inch wheel fit into this car's color theme for an awesome and preserved total package.

The special black folding roof goes well with the car's looks, and when you take it down, there's still the right color coordination. After all, the gray interior just seems like an extension of the outside's silver lower section. It all looks quite well preserved inside, and the comfy cloth seating is always welcomed in a convertible. Bucket seats up front, a center console in-between, a tilt steering column, and a full gauge package make this a true driver's environment. They chose a loaded Z/28 for the convertible conversion, and so you get great features like power windows, power locks, cruise control, and the factory AM/FM/cassette stereo. There are even provisions for factory air conditioning upgraded to modern R134a (likely needs a recharge to blow cold again.) The special edition badge on the passenger side dash is part of the convertible conversion, and the low numbers another reminder that this one is in an exclusive club.

Under the hood is the numbers-matching 305 cubic-inch V8. The engine bay has a fully stock look, and just like the rest of the car, we'd be hard pressed to find anything that doesn't appear original. Of course, when it's also a well-respected car that means not missing out on proper care. We have a long maintenance file going back decades, and there are even $2,200 in receipts from last year that include new fluids, wheel cylinders replaced, and new rear shocks. But you want this for more than just its history. The fuel-injected V8 is known for plenty of power and the kind of torque that makes you first off the line. The 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission is a nice pairing for powerful shifting as well as overdrive comfort. Plus, this is fantastic all-around cruiser thanks to features like power steering, sway bars front & rear, and power brakes featuring front discs and ABS.

The sale comes complete with the original window sticker, factory buildsheet, owner's manual, and maintenance records. It all makes for an exceptional and rare car that has been treated with the respect it deserves. Call today!!!
