Officially past the quarter-century mark and legitimately into classic status, this 1992 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4X4 has been treated with the right kind of respect to welcome it into the new class of vintage trucks. Plus, it has all the right features from fuel-injected V8 power to an A/C interior. So it's nice to see a practical extended cab pickup presented with good all-around respect.
We always love the possibilities with the extra-duty 1500-series machines, but you're going to love it for more than just its ability. Straight body panels, complete trim, and bright Bahama Blue Metallic paint - this really shows it has gotten far more respect over the years than the average pickup. And that's exactly how we all want our modern classics to be. In fact, this one showcases its well-preserved stock appearance with the details like the bright chrome bumpers and 16-inch factory alloys. But proper care doesn't mean missing out on the chores. That's why there's liner paint in the bed, and you have a handy hitch with 6 and 8-pin connectors.

That's why there's liner paint in the bed, and you have a handy hitch with 6 and 8-pin connectors.
Just like the outside, the interior is both premium and preserved. The pillow-top cloth pattern is exceptionally comfortable, and since this is an extended cab, you can share the experience with up to five more family and friends. One reason why a truck like is still in demand is because it's also a very comfortable machine. It has features like air conditioning, power windows, an upgraded alarm, and an added cup holder movable center console. Plus, we love the original split-level AM/FM stereo w/equalizer that only came on these Silverados. The has full gauge package, which is always handy for real truck duty, and the tilt steering column gives you a clear view of it all.
One of the big reasons you want a more modern classic pickup is under the hood. After all, modern fuel-injected power on the 5.7-liter V8 is an advantage we all want. And this powerhouse is original to the truck. Plus, this newer generation of Silverado was the first to offer an independent front suspension on the 4x4 drivetrain. That means you still get the go-anywhere prowess of a proper two-speed transfer case, but when you're just riding in the city, this is much more comfortable than other classic 4x4s. Add in power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive, and this Silverado is a fantastic any time cruising pickup.
