ALL STEEL EXCEPT REAR FENDERS, 350CI CHEVY, CLEAN & TIDY BUILD, A/C AUTO, NICE!

If you have any questions about the quality of this 1940 Ford pickup, come in for a drive and be prepared to be impressed. Spectacular to look at and fully sorted to be a show-stopping vehicle you can actually drive, this beautiful Ford is like nothing you've ever seen before.

The two-tone color combination is subtle yet effective, so if you're tired of red and black and even garden-variety purple, then this is a good way to grab some attention. Of course, painting it two-tone white-on-orange means you'd better nail the other stuff, too, so the steel body was properly straightened and aligned before the paint went on. It's still pretty fresh, so it looks great, and they didn't erase any of the '40 Ford's inherent goodness. The fenders are smooth, then running boards are crisp, the bed is squared symmetrically on the frame, and the overall stance of this '40 is absolutely killer. The tailgate is vintage Ford goodness, fits great, and the latches were stashed out of sight to make it look clean. The wood floor has gallons of coats of polyurethane on it, so it should last the test of time, and the fuel filler was cleverly integrated into the bottom back-left corner of the bed's exterior where ...

The wood floor has gallons of coats of polyurethane on it, so it should last the test of time, and the fuel filler was cleverly integrated into the bottom back-left corner of the bed's exterior where it won't get in the way. Shiny, chrome bumpers help with the compact, muscular look, the chrome piece on the hood flows into that iconic vertical grille, and all the brightwork was polished up to look its best.

As timeless as the exterior seems, the supple white interior compliments it just perfectly. The plus leather seats are a huge upgrade in comfort compared to what was issued in 1940, and those late-model pieces were custom upholstered to match the handsome white on the top of the cab and hood. It's all in great shape, with a few pieces of billet and polished aluminum, white-face Dolphin instruments that have a vintage look, and a handsome modern steering wheel mounted atop a polished tilt column. Vintage A/C makes this a go-anywhere cruiser and an AM/FM/CD stereo makes it a pleasure to drive with the tunes cranked up. The inside of the cab, headliner, and door panels are upholstered to match the seats, the dash is beautifully painted, and the plush tan carpets provide just enough contrast to make the interior pop that match more. With the comfort of this luxury hotrod truck, no one would blame you if you logged big miles in between stops.

For power, this slick truck runs a 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 and a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission, and reliability and performance were the reason for the drivetrain choice. While it sure looks like a trailer queen from most angles, this truck was really built to run and it just wouldn't do to have a truck this visible breaking down by the side of the road. It features a 4-barrel carburetor, a Chevy orange painted block and intake, HEI ignition, chrome valve covers, and a newer electrical system. The cooling system is led by a giant aluminum radiator with an electric fan, and despite the beautifully painted and smoothed inner fenders and firewall, service access is still decent. The front suspension is a modern A-arm setup with rack-and-pinion steering, while out back, a Ford 9-inch rear end spins gear that can handle both white-knuckle acceleration off the line and longer cruises. The entire undercarriage was painted and detailed to show, with an orange frame and black pans, and a disc brake sits at every corner. Shiny American Racing five-spoke rims carry 215/50/17 front and 215/60/17 rear Toyo radials that give it just a bit of a rake.

Gorgeous, well-executed, and fully sorted, this is the kind of rod that will always be the star of the show. If you like the colors, I guarantee you'll love the truck. Call today!
