#S MATCH Q-CODE 351, 5 SPEED, COLD R134 AC, PS, PB W/DISC, UPGRADED SUSPENSION

Here's your chance to get your hands on the end of an era at an affordable price. The 1973 Ford Mustang convertible was the last year for the first-generation and the last droptop for an entire decade. But what really makes this a desirable classic is the original and recently rebuilt Q-code Cobra Jet V8 under the hood. So look at all the history mixed with great upgrades (A/C, suspension, five-speed, etc.) that makes this an outstanding classic for quite a nice price.

This Mustang caught your eye thanks to the paint, and will do the same for others, too. The Blue Glow Metallic is factory-correct, but it takes advantage of modern application and clearcoat practices. Now you'll love showing this one off in the sunlight because the deep luster highlights the long lines of the exceptionally straight body. If the paint scheme looks familiar, that's because this one also goes for Mach 1 treatment with the hood and side hockey stick stripes in Argent Silver. And of course, the deep front spoiler, hood locks, and NACA hood scoops add some great performance looks, too. Finishing off the period-correct aggressive style is the set of 14-inch slot mag wheels.

With the flip of a switch, the white folding roof powers down to reveal a tasteful blue interior. In fact, this factory darker blue has almost a European-like feeling against the exterior lighter blue. So this car was born with a terrific color-coordinated total package. It has been exceptionally well maintained, and so it retains the Mustang's luxury image Ford was aiming for with the upper market pony cars during this era. The 1973 Mustang cockpit was designed to be a driver's environment and it shows with high-backed buckets, a center console, and sporty-looking deep-set instruments. There are even some nice wood appliques on the setting wheel and doors. But white this looks like a great time capsule – right down to the 8-trak stereo that's still on display – it has also received some very handy upgrades. For example, the gauges are now a modern Dakota Digital set that offer better info, and they also have a cool blue glow to match the interior. Plus, the air conditioning is now running modern R134a to keep top-down motoring cool long into the summer season. And have you counted the gears on the Hurst shifter yet?

This is a rare numbers-matching Q-code Mustang, and it has the 351 cubic-inch V8 motor under the hood. What makes the Q-code pony so important is this was part of the last gasp of the muscle car era. So it's great to have the original motor looking do correct, right down to the functioning ram air hood. But as you look deeper, you can see the benefits of a fresh rebuild (about 3 months/1,500 miles ago.) So you get all new internals; glossy blue paint that makes this look like it's fresh from the Dearborn factory; and even upgrades like the large aluminum radiator with electric fan to keep this running cool even if you're in traffic with the A/C pumping. Out on the road, this classic pony feels like a thoroughbred thanks to upgrades such as a Mustang II-style independent front end w/tubular A-arms, frame bracing for added strength, and a Tremec five-speed manual transmission that allows you to keep maximum control over this special Cobra Jet. Add in power steering and front disc brakes, and this a terrific all-around driving classic.

You're looking at bold, rare, and interesting classic Mustang convertible. So if you love to be distinctive, hurry up and gab this deal. Call today!!!
