In the 1980s Choo-Choo Customs did exactly what we all wished the factory would have. They utilized the Monte Carlo SS front end to create the El Camino SS. Now this sparkling example of a factory-backed custom build is also a loaded V8 survivor offered at quite a nice price.
There's pretty good reason why you might not have heard about a Choo-Choo Customs El Camino SS. They were rare. Less than 5,000 were produced over a five-year period, and there were less than 1,000 made in 1986. But more than just rarity, the cool factor on this is elevated because it's a GM-backed custom build. We all think utilizing the NASCAR-inspired aerodynamics of the Monte Carlo SS would be a no brainier on the similar El Camino, but instead Chevy sent production to be hand completed at Choo-Choo's facility before being sold through GM's dealers. The Choo-Choo Customs El Camino SS package included the aerodynamic front, special designer series door handle inserts, and a power bulge hood. But even if you didn't know how special this vehicle was, you'd find it quite attractive. Its Medium Gray Metallic paint is suspected to be original, and today it gives off a terrific luster – a sure sign this has been ... Please ask for the full description.

Its Medium Gray Metallic paint is suspected to be original, and today it gives off a terrific luster – a sure sign this has been treated with respect all its life. It's complemented perfectly by the correct SS decals on the front, sides, and tailgate. Plus, the full-length double red and silver pinstripe is a great finishing touch to the total color package. And you'll even love all the correct premium details like the bright bed rails, complete rubber bed mat, and the updated Rally wheel package.
The interior is a stock premium El Camino, and barely averaging over 1,800 miles annually means you see more signs or a well-respected preservation. The split bench is wide enough to sit three across and looks great with its factory cloth. Plus, any time you want more individualized comfort, the arm rest folds down for a bucket seat like experience. This El Camino comes with great factory features such as power windows, power locks, and the original AM/FM/cassette stereo. There's the original full set of round gauges, including a large speedo and tach. In fact, we can only spot one upgrade to the interior, and it's not one you'll see, but you'll feel it. The air conditioning has been upgraded to modern R134a to keep you cool over the long haul.
Under the hood is exactly what you want to see. This is an exceptionally tidy presentation of Chevy's trusty 305 cubic-inch small-block V8. We also suspect it to be original. And as you look over the undercarriage photos, it tells you the whole car has lived a well-respected life so far. But more than just history, you'll enjoy driving this El Camino. The V8 inhales deeply through a four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with extra bass thanks to the dual exhaust. You'll love this El Camino as an easy all-day cruiser with features such as the TH350 three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, front disc brakes, and cruise control.
Complete with maintenance records and owner's manual, this survivor-grade El Camino SS is exactly what you're looking for when you want to stand out. Which is why we know it won't stay here long at this price. Call today!!!
