It's a true dream car when you find a well-restored 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu convertible that's a real-deal Super Sport and retains such a wonderfully coordinated color package. So you might start to think that this is too good to be true, but in fact, it only gets better as you keep reading.
The factory-correct shade of Artesian Turquoise has been given a top-quality professional respray, and so it looks amazing when it hits the sunshine. But what makes this hue particularly impressive is the canvas is a laser straight body with uniform gaps. As a true 138-code Super Sport model, this one has the clean lines that moved the chrome side moldings from the middle of the car to the lower sills, which also help accent the sporty wheel covers. Plus, the black-trim grille and rear fender badges just gave these models a nice quiet aggression. That's why the factory-correct white convertible top looks terrific in this overall dignified presentation. The convertible was already rare in '65 with less than 20,000 produced. And considering this V8 Super Sport Malibu droptop was the most expensive of the bunch (aside from the SS396) there were few people willing to upgrade. So more than ... Description
TRUE 138 SS, CORRECT COLOR COMBO, IMPRESSIVE RESTO, FACTORY TACH, A MUST SEE!
So more than just beauty, this one will always have rarity.
If you liked the turquoise and white combo with the roof up, then you'll really love what's under the power top. With the flip of a switch, it reveals the same two tone appeal as the exterior. The white on the seats, door panels, and sun visors seem to be the perfect complement to the turquoise on the dash, door tops, and carpeting. Not only has this been restored to a high quality, but also it's the factory-correct combo. So be prepared to get plenty of complements on this fully coordinated package. More than just look terrific, this is a true driver's machine thanks to the SS upgrades like the bucket seats and center console with floor shift. Plus, the dual-spoke steering wheel give you a clear view of the full gauge package, including the desirable factory tach. They even took the time to get the details right like the working AM radio, accessory tissue box, and the clock correctly on top of the dash.
The 327 cubic-inch V8 was a great option for these Chevelles in 1965, and this one nearly looks as fresh and clean as that first day on the road. The engine bay has that unmistakable Chevrolet orange block radiating from within the gloss black darkness. It inhales deeply through a four-barrel carburetor, and that helps give a sweet sound to the dual exhaust. Plus, with power steering, power brakes, and a Powerglide automatic transmission, it makes it easy to show off this exceptional Malibu SS convertible everywhere.
Complete with the reproduction window sticker and owner's manual, this is the kind of classic that will always be in demand. So don't miss you chance at rarity and beauty in one package. Call today!!!
