#'S MATCHING 427, TANK STICKER, PROTECT-O-PLATE, ORIGINAL POLAR WHITE CAR, NICE!

Great colors, a numbers-matching 427 cubic inch V8, a 4-speed, and it's a first-year Stingray, is there anything else you could want in a Corvette? This 1968 Corvette gets all the important stuff right and it's ready to rock without a second thought. Get in and drive!

Repainted in 2008, this code 972 Polar White Corvette looks fantastic today. The classic color combination will never go out of style and unlike so many other cars from the late 60s, it doesn't have a dated look. Instead, the deep shine accentuates the all-new Stingray look, which is particularly appealing with the big block hood. For many, the early chrome bumper cars are the ones to own, and the bright stuff on this car is nicely finished, with much of it being new when the paint was applied. The result of all that work is a crisp-looking 'Vette that doesn't disappoint.

The code 407 red vinyl interior is also how this car was originally spec'd and was restored with the rest of the car a few years ago. The low-back buckets look inviting and the vinyl used is high quality; good enough that you won't be wishing for leather. New carpets, crisply rendered door panels, and a matching dash and center console all show extremely ... Please ask for the full description.

New carpets, crisply rendered door panels, and a matching dash and center console all show extremely well. Corvette designers did a great job with the early C3s and the level of detailing, right down to the color-matched horn button, is a big part of the appeal. There's a newer AM/FM/cassette stereo head unit in the dash today, but the original radio is included with the car if you're a stickler for authenticity. It also includes the fiber-optic lamp monitoring system and the all-important 4-speed shifter, because, after all, who wants a 427 that you can rip through the gears yourself? The T-tops seal up well and the cargo area is in good shape with a cleverly mounted fire extinguisher, just in case.

This is the car's original L68 427 cubic inch V8, and it's curious how Chevrolet offered a handful of different 427s, including two with Tri-Power induction like this one. It's street-friendly with great throttle response and bottomless reserves of torque, which is why you buy a 427 in the first place. The engine bay is nicely dressed with a correct triangular air cleaner and chrome valve covers over a Chevy Orange engine block. It was rebuilt approximately 5000-6000 miles ago, so it runs superbly, particularly with freshened carbs and distributor. The block was bored .030 oversize and fitted with fresh pistons, but that's really the only notable deviation from 100% stock specs. The 4-speed manual gearbox and rear end are also original, numbers-matching pieces, and as long as you're looking around under there, please note that the exhaust system is brand new, the power steering system works well, and there's no evidence of this car ever living in a snowy climate. You could pull the tank and find the original tank sticker there and it rolls on correct Rally wheels with 225/70/15 BFGoodrich radials all around.

Documented with the original Protect-O-Plate, factory build sheet, and an owner's manual, this is a high-quality big block 'Vette with a lot to offer. Call today!
