There are zero worries that anyone will look at this coupe and think it's bone stock. The excellent looking Deep Blue paint is from a solid investment in plenty of modern clearcoat applied by a very professional hand. The result is a deep blue ocean of color that makes this coupe look dripping wet, and this slick effect that even extends to the pained silver dual stripes. You know the body is laser straight because imperfections can't hide from this kind of artistry. Only the best brightwork around can keep up with this kind of shine, and so you'll love the window trim and mirror-like chrome bumpers. This is a mean machine that makes its presence known even when standing still. It does this by expertly integrating some cool upgrades. For example, have you noticed the rear spoiler? It's better integrated than the usual D80 unit. Plus, you get later-model door handles, sport mirrors, digital taillights, and the 18-inch Billet Specialties wheels with aggressively wide rear units.

Inside is like no Camaro you've never seen before. This full custom setup utilizes the exterior blue and silver for some cool inspiration. It starts with the modern bucket seats up front. You might think this is the space-age with the silver material, special 427 anniversary patches, and cool patterns. But beyond the attention-grabbing presentation, don't forget to recognize the modern bolstering and power adjustment that makes these all-day comfortable. This combination of style luxury is part the $12k spent on the interior. It's this kind of investment that gets you rear seats, headliner, and side panels that expertly match the bucket seat pattern. There are plenty of great features like the power windows, a Kenwood AM/FM/CD/XM stereo, and air conditioning. But more than just coddling, this is built to be a true performance machine. Your right hand will love the B&M Quicksilver shifter, and the left one grips a cool blue and chrome custom steering wheel mounted on a Flaming River tilt column. Beyond that are a large speedo and tach from Classic Instruments that have a great silvery presence. These match the quad pack of auxiliary readouts at the top of the center console. All of this tells your senses this is one special machine even before you twist the key and hear it roar.

You've already noticed the anniversary badges around the car, and this is what makes an already impressive Camaro a truly irresistible machine. This is fitted with #108 of the 427 special engines Chevrolet built to celebrate the meanest motor of them all – the ZL1. It's a modern crate V8 built with an aluminum block, forged rotating assembly, oval-port big-block heads, hydraulic-roller cam, and a 10.1:1 compression ratio. While the original ZL1 used a big Holley carb, this one takes the original spirit and gives it a modern upgrade to Holley electronic fuel injection. We wouldn't be surprised to find out if this full package is rated over 500 horsepower – and so there is a lot more substance to this V8 than just it's award-worthy shine. In fact, the moment you fire it up and let the header-fed Patriot dual exhaust make its thunderous note, everyone will know you've got something special. But don't just listen to this roar; follow its path in the undercarriage photos. There you will see a solid investment all-around that makes this award-worthy. After all, even the underside follows this car's blue and silver theme, and you see it perfectly thanks to only 720 miles on this whole build. Plus, you also see what makes this a true restomod. The Art Morrison performance subframe up front, the reinforced adjustable coilover rear, and Wilwood four-wheel disc brake package. There's also power steering, the grip of modern ZR-rated tires, and a four-speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly overdrive.
