The Deep Burnt Orange paint is a great way to instantly announce that this is a truck of distinction (of course, the lifted stance does that, too.) When you look under the hood is a tidy presentation with a 350 cubic-inch crate V8 in the center. This has been upgraded with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock aluminum intake, and HEI ignition. So it fires up nicely and makes plenty of power over this 3100's original motor. That extra muscle from this V8 will be appreciated, because you can really use this truck for work and play. The added versatility comes from riding on the chassis of a younger 1979 GMC K-series 4x4. And since it comes from one of Chevy/GMC's longest production runs, the stout 4x4 components will always be easy to source. This more modern setup also means nice conveniences like power steering and power brakes w/discs up front. Plus, the four-speed manual transmission is paired nicely to give you full control, including a first-gear that really helps deliver low-speed torque.
