This is one of the best looking '66 Chevelle's you will ever find. Starting with the '66 body style arguably puts it amongst the best-looking cars of all time without even considering the work done by expert craftsman and the attention to detail that has gone into this car. But let's consider that work. Check it out.
The Torch Red paint on this car is near flawless. As an indication of the both the quality of workmanship when it was recoated and the continuing care it has received since, consider the fact that it is a 15-year old paint job. It still shines like new, catching the light that really shows off the smooth contours of the body including the bulging rear fender lines that give the car a muscular look. The chrome also shines like new. The bumpers have been replaced and the grill polished up to match the shine. The trim around all the glass received its share of elbow grease to make it shine too and wheel well and rocker moldings compliment American Racing alloys that add their bit of flash to the picture too. Malibu appears in script on the rear fenders and Chevelle on the trunk lid. The “flying buttress” roofline looks great from the rear along with the rectangular ... The "flying buttress" roofline looks great from the rear along with the rectangular panel framing the taillights and the exhaust tips peeking out from under the rear bumper.
Open the door and you will see that the show continues inside too. A black interior with chrome highlights is perfect with the red and chrome of the body. Some new parts like the carpets and dash pad compliment the original parts like the door panels that have been restored and detailed out so that they look like new. A deep dish, three-spoke, wooden steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column with Chevy bowtie center. The dash is stock except for a Sunpro Super Tach mounted on the column and an Autogauge cluster mounted under the center to keep accurate track of oil pressure, water temp and voltage. The ventilation controls just above the gauges include the upgraded R-134 Vintage Air system so you can stay cool on those hot summer nights. A white Hurst shifter for the 4-speed transmission is mounted in the floor, the upholstery is all perfect, and of-course everything is meticulously detailed out.
As sweet as the outside and inside of this car is, get ready for the star of the show. Go ahead, pop the hood. There you will find a 350 cubic inch motor from a '69 Vette, dressed for show, nestled down in a neat and clean engine bay. Through the years, this engine has been tended to by expert machinists and engine builders and upgraded from top to bottom. What you see is all the chrome. The air topper, intake manifold, Bowtie valve covers, master cylinder and booster and the alternator. What's not as obvious are heads that have been completely reworked and set up with a comp cam and roller rockers. Before they were installed, the block was bored .060 over and outfitted with a new street and strip oil pump, trick pistons and a new harmonic balancer. Flow Tech headers and Flowmaster mufflers give the car an awesome sound. Power is sent back to a new Muncie M20 4-speed, then to a 12-bolt rear end that has been rebuilt with new 3.08 gears and bearings. Be sure to ask your salesperson for the spec sheet that includes even more details.
Arrive and drive. To the show. To the cruise in. To your garage. This car could be yours. Don't miss the opportunity.
