When looking for a distinctive vintage truck, it's hard to beat this 1984 Jeep J10 Laredo. Aside from rarity, you get a tough 4x4 pickup that's ready for work duty. And when you see all the features – from the cool classic paint theme to the A/C interior – you realize this checks all your boxes for a standout classic.
The appearance of the Gladiator is quite an attractive one. It has an unmistakable Jeep lineage with its resemblance to the related Waggoneers, but this pickup still retains its own unique flair. That's why people will love them at the car shows, even if they've never seen one before. The J10 didn't have the same production numbers as The Big Three, so while Ford's F-Series was developing into one of the best-selling vehicles in the USA, this was ensuring rarity with only about 3,400 built in 1984. And you'll love this truck for more than just rarity. It was born with Chestnut Brown metallic paint and the premium Laredo package, and that's still represented quite nicely today. And in fact, this classic is still meant to lead a useful truck life. The tall 4x4 stance, trailer ball rear bumper, and full sports bar in the bed not only looks striking, but it's a package ... These trucks shared their interiors with the other Jeeps, and so it's a quite comfortable place to spend some time. You'll recognize pieces like the wide dash from the Grand Wagoneer. The seats look like the buckets from a CJ – only plusher – and there's a nice jump seat in the middle for carrying an extra person or folding down for a center armrest. There are some great features you don't find in too many classics, including power windows, power locks, and cruise control. And the sliding rear glass means you can open up the side vent windows to enjoy the old school truck breezes. Plus, there's cold-blowing R134a air conditioning to make sure its always cool inside.
The Jeep/AMC 360 cubic-inch V8 has been a long-standing powerhouse utilized by some legendary vehicles. This has a nice and correct look, right down to the proper 360 decal on the air topper. Plus, this V8 is mated to a Torqueflite A727 three-speed automatic transmission. So that provides a nice balance of strong construction and easy parts availability. That's the kind of stout setup you want for off-road work, and the leaver-activated transfer case in the cab makes it easy to get true 4x4 traction when you need it. But even if you just stay on the pavement, the power steering and power brakes w/discs up front make this truck a fine anytime choice.
The sale comes with nice paperwork, including the original window sticker and full owner's manual packet. So if you love a distinctive pickup, don't let this one slip away. Call today!!!
