And even the upgraded steering wheel and additional gauges give this more of a specialist sports car feeling. You've also got an AM/FM/cassette stereo, power locks, and an alarm system. But even with all these improvements, there's still that '70s classic car atmosphere. You feel the unique Bricklin ambiance in everything from the thick pile carpeting, to the two high-back bucket seats with plush cloth inserts.

Under the hood is what made these cars ready to take on the Corvette of the day. The 360 cubic-inch AMC V8, which is believed to be the original motor, meant this exotic had a reliable, mass-produced heart that is still easy to service today. In fact, it even has upgrades like an MSD ignition, electric fan, and a Holley 650 CFM four-barrel carburetor. That last one really lets the V8 inhale nicely for extra power, and it all gives a sweet sound to the refinished dual exhaust. And as a true cool cruising classic, it's easy to drive thanks to the power steering, front disc brakes, wide BF Goodrich T/As, and an automatic transmission.
