A real-deal 1966 Pontiac GTO with triple-deuce carbs and four-on-the-floor will already get your attention. But while all GTOs are great for neck-snapping performance, this restored classic also has all the right premium presentation to be a stunner when parked, too.

You could get a red GTO in '66, but it never looked as nice as this. You're looking at a modern application of Crimson Red Metallic that has a terrific luster in the sunshine. It's part of a full frame-off restoration that was completed in 2003, and it was so thorough that this one won its class at the World of Wheels the first year it was out (and plenty of other awards, too!) Since then, this hardtop has been treated with absolute respect. You see the proof in the crispness of the sheetmetal, the mirror-like form-fitting bumpers, and the way all the panels line up to exacting standards. More than just look award-worthy, this also has that great GTO aggressive factor with its vertical stacked headlights, mesh grille, hood scoop, and narrow sporty taillights shared with the best Pontiacs on the road. The total effect of this one is fast with class.

Inside the feeling of a premium restoration continues. After all, the light color of the factory-correct parchment is a great upper-class choice, and the tightness tells you there has been a solid investment in the bucket seats, headliner, and door panels with correct GTO emblems. It even has the rare rear defroster option that's still working. Aiming for a more European feel in the GTO, Pontiac designers gave it a wood-grained dashboard with the round rally gauge cluster. Your left hand will love the wood-grained three-spoke steering wheel, and your right one will likely never leave the Hurst shifter. While this one looks correct, right down to the jet-age center console, there are a few subtle upgrades. For example, this might look like there's a factory radio, but there's actually a CD changer in the trunk to give you the best selection cruising tunes.

Another great upgrade is under the hood. Everyone at the car shows will instantly point out the rubber seal that makes a direct link from the hood scoop to the triple set of dual-barrel Holley carburetors. After all, who doesn't love/lust a triple-deuce setup??? But this motor is far more than just the iconic carbs. The block of this 389 V8 and its oil pan have been specially painted with the kind of metallic red most people would want on the outside of their cars. Plus, there's plenty of polished components with the air toppers, valve covers, and shroud. So it's no wonder this is an award winner. The mighty V8 fires up cleanly with a nice rumble from the dual exhaust. You have complete control over this powerful GTO tiger and its growling soundtrack thanks to the Muncie M21 close-ratio four-speed manual transmission. And because this is a true street machine, it's easy to tame thanks to power steering, sway bars front & rear, front disc brakes, and wide BF Goodrich T/As on those classic Cragar SS wheels.

Complete with owner's manual and restoration photos, the GTO started the muscle car segment, and the only thing better than owning the granddaddy of them all is owning one with so much added distinction. Call today!!!
