Beautifully unique on the outside, loaded on the inside, and a thumpin' big block V8 under the hood. This 1969 Chevrolet Nova delivers an all-around memorable muscle car experience.

The paint on this one is the kind that makes people look twice. It starts with a deep modern clearcoat blue borrowed from the Corvette. Of course, what really made you instantly take notice are all those vapor trail flames airbrushed onto this custom setup. And if the dragon on the hood didn't already signal this Nova's performance, then the huge power bulge its painted on is a dead giveaway. So this is built in the grand tradition lightweight X-bodies packing serious power. But beyond just looking intimidating, this one gets its fundamentals right - all the body lines are quite crisply rendered, and the doors shut with authority. It's a quality appearance that's enhanced by mirror-like brightwork on the trim, large bumpers, and the upgrade to iconic Cragar SS wheels.

The work on the interior has erased much of this Nova's economy car roots. It starts up front with a pair a crisp bucket seats with comfortable cloth inserts, and the rear bench has been upgraded to match. The headliner, dash, door panels, and carpeting have also been nicely invested in to feel fresh. So this coupe is a nice place to spend some time. But you can also instantly tell there were the proper investments in making this a good muscle machine. The Hurst shifter, auxiliary gauge trio, and new Chevy performance steering wheel make you want to get down to speedy business the moment you settle into the driver's seat.

You'll never leave the hood down at car shows once you see the investment in the engine bay. The 402 cubic-inch big block looks fantastic with the bold block paint, polished valve covers, and matching air topper all radiating within this tidy dark setup. Then again, once you dig into all the go-fast upgrades, you they may never get you off the road. This big block has been enhanced and fortified with Pro Comp aluminum heads, Pro Comp cam, Pro Comp valves & rockers, Mallory distributor, Street Fire ignition, Edelbrock RPM air gap intake, and topped with a large Proform 750CFM four-barrel carburetor. Plus, the long tube headers add even more power while also contributing to the thunder of the Pypes X-pipe dual exhaust. You have complete control over this monster motor thanks to the Muncie M22 close-ratio four-speed manual transmission with new syncros. And if the Rock Crusher wasn't hardy enough, it also now has a Lakewood steel bellhousing, flywheel, and throwout bearing. Making sure all this power gets to the ground is a stout 9-inch Ford with Eaton TrueTrac differential. The suspension is setup for harnessing this power properly. Up front there are disc brakes, and in the rear are traction bars and wide Goodyear Eagle tires.
