With an iconic paint package, upgraded A/C interior, and a performance-built 429 V8, this 1972 Ford Mustang is the best of everything from the era of the big 'Stangs. So no matter if you're enjoying the boulevard or a car show, this muscle machine leaves an impression wherever it goes.
Grabber Yellow follows in the great tradition of hot Mustangs in bold colors. This looks great today thanks to an investment in a professional respray. There's no better way to showcase a Mach 1 than with the NACA ram air hood on a blacked-out treatment that matches the side hockey stick stripes, rear window slats, and rear spoiler. The whole package looks great on a body as straight and clean as this one. After all, this is the era of the big Mustang, and if you're going to go bold, you want a coupe that holds up to scrutiny like this one. And while this muscle machine looks quite factory correct, right down to the body-colored front bumper, there's a nice hint at the upgraded power. Those shining Centerline wheels act like a beacon to tell other that this is quite a serious machine.

We love how the exterior accent color is a preview of the deep black interior. Plus, there was a lot of time and thought that went into expertly blending the vintage elements with nice upgrades for both comfort and performance. Ford was taking the Mustang upscale with high-back bucket seats and the wood veneering on the door panels. This is now met with modern luxuries like the AM/FM/CD stereo w/iPod connection and the modern air conditioning. But from the moment you sit behind the Grant sports steering wheel, you know the real upgrades are all about speed. Ahead of you there's a full set of AutoMeter gauges, to the side are Ford Racing auxiliary readouts, and behind you is a roll bar for added rigidity. All of this, plus the B&M shifter, lets you know this is a real-deal mean machine.
This Mach 1 seems to be striving for equal parts style and performance... and the engine bay shows this the best. The fully painted fender walls and firewall do a fantastic job of drawing attention to the big V8 nestled in the center. And you can tell there was a ton spent in polished components like the Ford Racing valve covers, alternator, March pulleys, and so much more. But beyond the style is the substance of a performance-built 429 cubic-inch big block. It has been fortified with go-fast goodies like Super Cobra Jet heads, Edelbrock intake, Holley four-barrel carburetor, MSD ignition, and Hooker long tube headers. That last feature also helps create your new favorite soundtrack – the thundering dual exhaust. But more than just a pure power machine, this classic wants to be easy to drive. That's why you have a C6 three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and front disc brakes. There's even a Griffin aluminum radiator so that the big V8 stays cool no matter if you're in traffic with the A/C pumping – that's a truly thoughtful build!
This is that vintage long-body Mustang of your modern dreams. It's the aggressive Mach 1 with all the right components and upgrades. And when it's at such an obtainable price, you don't want to let this one slip through your fingers. Call today!!!
