ORIGINAL 351CI MOTOR REBUILT, ZF 5 SPEED MANUAL, LIFTED, WELL TAKEN CARE OF!
At the crossroads of 4x4 utility vehicle, hot rod, and all-around stunner is this 1996 Ford Bronco XLT. With its powerful 351 V8 that's been upgraded with performance components and a five-speed manual, this one has impressive stats. But when you add in the luxury appointment s of the leather A/C interior, you realize it's the one vehicle that can do it all.
Ford recently announced that the Bronco is coming back, and this well cared for, final-year example proves to you exactly why. This 4x4 might now have vintage status, but its exceptional condition means you could never tell its over two decades old by. The top-trim XLT is important because it gave these a sophisticated appearance where the grille, bumpers, and roof were color matched to the vehicle. And having it finished in white is a truly timeless appearance, especially when you see the luster this has in the sunshine. And speaking of the outdoors, these Bronco continued the great tradition of being able to remove the rear roof section for that cool semi-convertible appearance (although it's so nice, we don't know if that has even happened on this one yet.) And while everything looks exceptionally well maintained from the factory, you can start to pick up on some hints of the added investment in this Bronco when you spot features like the LED fog lights, chrome exhaust tip, Rock Slider side steps, and stylish Method 17-inch heavy duty alloys.
The XLT trim also means you get a comfortable and loaded leather interior with just about every feature in the book. It includes modern R134a air conditioning, power windows, power locks, and power lumbar support in the front bucket seats. The stereo has even been upgraded to an AM/FM/CD unit that has modern conveniences like a Bluetooth and an iPod connection. And a more modern classic also means modern safety features like a driver's airbag and anti-lock brakes. A wide center console offers plenty of storage as well as a handy place to put your coffee, and the dash is one of the more car-like features of this big truck. The nicely appointed back seat looks barely used, and the cargo bay is positively massive. This is thanks to the spare tire living outside on a swing-away rack, and a power rear window there for convenience, too.
Under the hood is a blue oval legend. It's the original, numbers-matching 351 cubic-inch V8, and while this optional motor was the largest displacement available from Ford at the time, that wasn't good enough for this Bronco. The fuel-injected V8 was rebuilt with upgrades such as a Comp Cams camshaft, 1.7 rockers, MSD ignition, Champion Cooling four-row radiator, and Delk Performance Switch Chip. All of this feeds into Bassani headers that help give this enhanced Bronco an added rumble. Best of all, you have complete control over this powerful package thanks to an upgrade to a ZF five-speed manual transmission. And the improvements don't end there. As you look over the undercarriage photos, not only will you see an exceptionally clean vehicle, but also you'll spot plenty of all the little things that make all the difference – like new bushings. This knows how to preform off road thanks to upgrades to the 4x4 drivetrain, including Warn locking front hubs, Rough Country Hydro 8000 shocks, and taller rear leaf springs. But just because this is great for the trail doesn't mean it losses its road manners. Power steering, front disc brakes, and BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires are great anytime features.
The Bronco is coming back, which means there's only going to be more interest in classic examples seen here. So when one has been enhanced like this, and comes complete with owner's manual, you know you have to act fast while it's still affordable. Call today!!!
