RARE BLACK TIE EDITION, #51 OF ONLY 151, 11K ACTUAL MILES, PRISTINE CONDITION!

While you know a mega low-mileage 2001 Plymouth Prowler is already an ultra-rare gem, you're actually looking at something even more special. This beautifully painted car with hand-applied pinstripe is a very rare Black Tie Edition with only 11,584 original miles. So now you can have the seriously cool modern retrocar looks with an outstanding perigee all at an unbeatable price.

This is one of only 151 Black Tie Edition Prowlers, which were finished in black over silver. While that's already an unbeatable exclusive combination, what will always make this car desirable is the hand-panted pinstripe by Rudy “Dr. Ru” Kutey. The modern master at this old-school hot rod skill signed and numbered this rare edition individually after he was completed applying his artwork (you're looking at #051.) Even if you look beyond the value in the cool paintwork, this is a showstopper with the great fundamentals. Plymouth put into limited production the hot rod we all would have loved to build. The cycle front fenders, tapered profile, and round rear end are all those great cues of what we love about custom cars. But this is far more modern underneath the sculpted skin. There was plenty of aluminum ... Please ask for the full description.

While that's already an unbeatable exclusive combination, what will always make this car desirable is the hand-panted pinstripe by Rudy "Dr. Ru" Kutey. There was plenty of aluminum in the body (as well as much of the chassis and motor) to be a lightweight roadster. But as much as this was engineered to perform, the meticulous condition of the rare original paintwork tells you the previous caretaker treated this like a cherished gem.

Inside is where this retro ride gets very modern. It's outfitted with exceptionally comfortable charcoal gray leather buckets with the special Prowler logo embossed in the backs. The low mileage really shows here where little seat time equals virtually zero wear. Since this is a modern classic, there are plenty of great features and everything works as it should thanks to the engineering strength of a major corporation behind it. Ahead of the three-spoke steering wheel is a tach, and the central color-matched instrument stands out boldly with white-faced instruments. Air conditioning, a powerful AM/FM/cassette factory stereo, power windows, power locks, cruise control, and that slick-shifting "Auto-Stick" transmission all make the Prowler a more functional choice for those who like a vintage look but modern convenience. Plus, all of these features are set into gold-colored machined metal panels that give this a cool custom added distinction. Also a retro car also means welcomed safety features like the dual airbags and ABS that come with the Prowler's great vintage looks.

The lightweight nature of the Prowler means the all-aluminum 3.5-liter 24-valve V6's 253 horsepower moves this roadster quite nicely. It starts instantly and idles smoothly thanks to fully-engineered EFI. The five-speed automatic overdrive transmission and power steering make this a fine anytime cruiser. So going down the road in it takes no more knowledge or skill than your daily driver – just try that in an old hot rod! When you want a little more fun, the AutoStick has a manual mode that will really open up the backroads thanks to the fully independent all-aluminum suspension, four wheel disc brakes, and grippy Goodyear Eagle GS-D tires. Then again, while we love those who drive their classics, this one has average less than 775 miles per year since new. So this modern classic has the low production numbers and mileage to be museum quality.

2001 was the last official year for Plymouth, and this is the car that helped them go out with a bang. It's an exceptionally well-engineered vehicle that has added distinction among its low production brothers. That makes its price an exceptional value, and this Black Tie Edition Prowler's time at our dealership very short. Call today!!!
