Corvette Grand Sport
ONLY 15K MILES, MAGNUSON SUPERCHARGED, EXCELLENT CONDITION, A TRUE MUST SEE!
This 2011 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport is one of the youngest 'Vettes we've ever had at Streetside, and that's because it has truly has been a classic since day one. But while the exterior and interior just have the sensibility of an extra-low mileage GS coupe, in the engine bay, its supercharged heart means you're really playing with the ZR-1 crowd.
Sonic Blue Pearl is the perfect subtle color for this Grand Sport that's so stealthy flying under the radar. With under 15K miles on the odometer the factory paint hasn't had time to lose its showroom luster. Competing for the shine are the great thin-spoke chrome wheels, and just like the paint, they've been keep pristine. While these Grand Sport special alloys look great, they actually serve the function of allowing for wider tires on these widebody GS cars. In fact the Grand Sport is specifically designed to be a more competition-focused car, and you can see it in the array of scoops and spoilers control the air as it flows over the car and feeds it to coolers and brakes for serious track use.
Some of you might have been wondering why someone would want to upgrade a GS like this instead of going for a Z06, and the answer can be seen the moment you open the door. You can't get the paddle-shift automatic transmission or the removable targa roof in the Z06, and those are two elements that can make a Corvette a true grand touring machine. Add that to a long list of desirable luxury features, including dual zone climate control, heated seats, power seats, power windows, power locks, keyless entry, cruise control, and an AM/FM/CD/XM Bose stereo. A modern classic also gets modern safety features such as dual front airbags, side airbags, and ABS. Such low mileage means the tan leather seats have such little seat time. They are all-day comfortable, so there's nothing stopping you from hopping in, pressing the keyless ignition, and watching the dials do their dance as this one lets its enhanced growl known at start up.
Underneath the clamshell hood lives the numbers-matching LS3 V8 that fills the whole engine compartment. The LS-series of engines are quite modification-friendly, and this one has been treated to a host of performance upgrades. It includes a Magnuson Heartbeat Supercharger, Lingenfelter GT9 camshaft, and a terrific set of American Racing Headers that give this one an intimidating sound to the dual exhaust. The six-speed automatic transmission is stout enough to handle the power increase, and it always seems to be in the right gear. Plus, with a towering overdrive gear, this Corvette still feels nice on long trips. Combine this with power steering, large vented disc brakes at all four wheels, and Hankook V12 Evo tires, and this custom Corvette is one sure-footed street machine.
This Grand Sport is a modern classic with an enhanced heart. It's truly a unique and irresistible Corvette, and since there's only one up for grabs, you might want to hurry up and call today!!!
