We know the affordable price made you stop and look at this cherry vintage droptop. But as you dig deeper into this 1969 Buick Wildcat Custom convertible and see its big V8 powerplant, great coordinating colors, and rarity (about 2,375 produced), we know you'll discover a desirability that goes well beyond the value price.
The factory-correct Crystal Blue paint has a survivor-quality element that you'll see throughout the rest of this droptop. While we suspect it's original, we absolutely know we love the color. It has a shine that provides the perfect color backdrop for Buick's classic profile line that runs from front wheel to tail with the iconic style sweeping boldly down through the door. That's what's great about a large classic convertible like this. You have plenty of sheetmetal to see great lines develop, like the razor-edged fenders, deep pod headlights, and a comprehensive front bumper package that dominates the whole design.
And we're particularly fond of the extra wide taillights that are part of a terrific package where the rear chrome bumper and deep-dipping trunk integrate into one artful package. And because this was the sporty cruiser, you have cool features like the bright dual exhaust tips and chrome spinners added to the ionic Buick Rally wheels.
No matter with the roof up or down, you get the fantastic look of bright white against the bold blue. This is the factory correct-color, and just like the exterior, we suspect it to be original. But a you never have to worry about dusting off your shoes before hopping into this white Wildcat, thanks to the newer black carpeting. As a full-size Buick, you're going to have plenty of room to take family and friends along in this droptop. But because this is an upper-level Custom trim, you also have the correct and comfortable notchback front seats as well as a fold-down center armrest. So this Wildcat is plenty of fun when it's just you out for a drive. In fact, this one is completely built around you. The driver-oriented dash keeps everything at your fingertips, including the original AM radio that still has the cool B-U-I-C-K presets. And the dual-spoke steering wheel give you a commanding view of the factory gauges. Plus, with power windows and a power convertible top, you don't even have to leave the driver's seat to enjoy an open-top experience.
Buick's big V8 looks terrific under the hood with its bright Dante Red paint on the block, intake, and valve covers. And averaging around 1,400 miles annually has kept it all looking great. Best of all, because this is a proper and rare 430 cubic-inch unit that's correct for this Wildcat, there's more suspicion of originality. Topped with a four-barrel carburetor, this V8 is legendary for it massive torque production. The big block moves this big Buick with the kind of power delivery that's equal parts muscle car and luxury convertible. It's impeccably smooth with just enough of a rumble from the newer stainless dual exhaust to let folks know that there's some serious power under the hood. It's mated to the smooth and trusty three-speed automatic transmission. And there's even power steering and power brakes to keep this classic Buick a cool cruiser.
Power, rarity, and a ton of originality – there are a lot of reasons to love this convertible Wildcat. So at this affordable price, you know you need to hurry if you want to make it yours. Call today!!!
