FACTORY FIVE'S SEMA CAR, PRO BUILT, LS6 CORVETTE ENGINE, ONLY 2K MILES, SUPERCAR
Here's the best way to be unique at the car show, be parked in front at every valet stand, and be the fastest at the track. This 2007 Factory Five GTM is one of the finest examples around because this was the car the company used as a benchmark to sell all the others.
The people at Factory Five assembled this GTM. Those in the know realize that this is not a service offered to the public, so the handful of the other examples of this supercar come from outside shops and home garages. The reason for this interesting occurrence is because there's evidence this car was used to showcase and sell these coupes at places like SEMA and in the press. Having a car that was built to prove an entire brand means a level of quality that's tough to surpass. The GTM really does command attention everywhere it goes. Factory Five took some of the best design elements from contemporary supercars and created an attractively unique design. It's hard not to make comparisons to a Ford GT in the front, a Saleen S7 silhouette, and a rear reminiscent of the Mosler MT900 - that's some pretty fast company! It's all presented exceptionally well with a professional respray of Black Cherry that's so deep and glossy that there's no need for chrome trim.
The interior does a great job creating a hardcore performance car that's also every day comfortable. It starts with custom bucket seats that completely envelope you and your passenger. The high central tunnel is at the exact right height for to rest your arm while you right hand is firmly planted on the stick shift. Your left hand takes command of the three-spoke sports steering wheel. Beyond that is a complete set of AutoMeter gauges. While all this seems like everything you want in a track car, there's also features like the air conditioning, power windows, cruise control, and AM/FM/CD stereo that makes this one comfortable to drive well beyond the racetrack.
Factory Five developed the GTM utilizing some the best components around. It starts with a mid-mounted fuel-injected LS6 Chevy V8 producing 400+ horsepower. This is mated to a Porsche G50 five-speed transaxle. The total package gives a good weight balance to Factory Five's custom chassis. After all, the entire car is supposed to weigh a mere 2,200lbs so the power-to-weight ratio of this car is crazy! The suspension is borrowed from a C5 Corvette with some new additions such as Koni shocks. Keeping you firmly planted are four-wheel disc brakes attached to Makaveli forged wheels and sticky Proxes R888 tires. But what this car understands better than most others you'll look at is aerodynamics. It goes well beyond the large racing rear spoiler. One of the best places to understand this engineering is by taking a look at the undercarriage photos. Those smooth flat panels on the bottom help move more air and are rarely seen on sports cars that don't share a price with premium Ferraris. This car is reported to be good for 0-60MPH in the 3.0 second range and 0-152MPH in only around 15 seconds so it'll run with the Ferraris too!
Complete GTMs are a rare find, and you'll likely never see one meticulously built by Factory Five ever again. Best of all, the whole package has only 2,508 miles on it since it was built. Factory Five is said to have used no donor parts for this car, instead all new parts were used. It's a serious sports car with a serious pedigree, so you better get serious about this unique beast before someone else does. This car's VIN # is F5R1000125MS. Call today!!!
