Time to get your hands on a heavy duty rare 4x4 Mopar. This 1978 Dodge W150 pickup is a great way to standout in the vintage pickup world without having to give up utility or comfort.
Dodge trucks just seem to have a unique presence, especially when dressed in full Power Wagon war paint. It only gets better when you take a look at the details. This is a freshly restored, so the recent orange and black paintjob really helps this iconic appearance make an instant impression. Then again, people will already take notice because you're likely the only one to show up at the car show in this pickup. With less than 25,000 of these short bed W150 models built in 1978, finding a pristine one like this is quite extraordinary today. But rarity does not mean you can't use this for work or play. Just look at the tall 4x4 ground clearance, big step chrome bumper, and Rhino liner in the bed – this pickup can easily handle your weekend activities.

Then again, people will already take notice because you're likely the only one to show up at the car show in this pickup. Open the door and see more evidence of an expensive restoration. The gray vinyl bench seat with cloth insert looks factory fresh. The same can be said for the matching door panels and dashboard. The driver gets a three-spoke sports steering wheel and a full gauge package that includes tachometer, oil, water, and battery readouts. As much as this is a tough 4x4, it is built for comfort, too, with features such as an AM/FM/cassette stereo, sliding rear window, and air conditioning running on R-134a for easy servicing.
A big truck needs big power under the hood, and this one has a factory-correct 318 cubic-inch V8. Its been enhanced with performance parts such as an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and long tube headers. All of this power can easily be heard through the thunpin' dual exhaust. 1978 was the first year for the heavy-duty W150 line, so you know this beefier 4x4 is up to any off-road task. Especially with its two-speed transfer case, and this one is now even enhanced by Skyjacker Hydro 7000 shocks all around. But for those days when you just want to run around town, this Dodge can be quite comfortable with its three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, front disc brakes, and BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A tires at all four corners.
Your looking at a cool and rare pickup that has all the features you want in one attention-grabbing package.
