Advanced Design Chevy trucks seem to be one of the hottest vintage pickups going because they combine an upright tough appearance with some of the sleek lines that make other GM products iconic in the 1950s. So we're always excited to have a 1953 Chevrolet 3100 5-window truck like this one that perfectly blends old style with new amenities.

Red really is the best shade because the color's appeal is as timeless as these pickups. Of course it also helps that it has been applied over some of the straightest bodywork around. The brilliant chrome and trim remains right where Chevy designers intended, but keen eyes will instantly notice the upgrade to iconic Chevy rally wheels with a lowered stance. Vintage pickup fans will also instantly recognize the desirability of the optional five-window cab. New wood in the bed is beautifully presented, and it will be preserved quite well for decades because it's protected by a full bed cover. The overall presentation is not radical, but the attention to detail is obvious everywhere you look, so it fits in with any crowd.

Just like the exterior, the interior is full of upgrades without losing the original spirit. The custom split bench seating has armrests for individual comfort and the Chevy bow tie embedded in the seatback. The driver gets a sports steering wheel and beyond that is a full set of VDO gauges that fit nicely into the original dual pod setup. There's an AM/FM/cassette radio that looks good with tis knob-style setup, and more importantly, makes this classic pickup adaptable for more modern tunes. And speaking of updates, this one has been upgraded to ice cold air conditioning running modern R-134a for easy servicing.

Pop the hood, and you'll see a huge improvement over stock. The 400 cubic-inch V8 is nearly double the displacement of the '53 motor, and this was the kind of engine that gained a reputation for being robust in Chevy trucks many decades after this one was built. Beyond the extra power is the well presented engine bay with the chrome air cleaner and valve covers. At the other end are chrome dual exhaust tips to add a touch of class to your rumble. This classic pickup is great for Sunday drives thanks to the ease of the three-speed automatic transmission and front disc brakes.

Fully sorted and ready to rock, this is the truck with all the features you want for a well-presented car show attention grabber. It's a custom build that you didn't have to make yourself, and best of all, it's at a great price. Call today!!!
