This is an unbelievable 1979 Porsche 911-SC with the "Flaubau" (Slant Nose) steel body conversion that was performed in 1987 by Camillo & Domenico Scaduto of Carrozzeria Italia restoration shop in Escondido, California. This type of modification first offered by Porsche for their 930 Turbo under a special program back in 1981 and was a $60,000 option. The front end was re-styled after their racing 935's and according to some sources, Porsche only produced 948 of these units. The Scaduto family handcrafted the "Flaubau" just as Porsche did using steel fenders and before the advent of lesser quality fiber glassed modifications used by other shops. The Scaduto family produced 87 of these units before the "Flaubau" style faded. So this is one of 87 of these special "Flaubau" Porsche 911's produced just the way Porsche produced them. This bay boy Porsche 911 SC is equipped with 3.0L Six Cylinder engine which is mounted to a five speed transmission that shifts so smoothly.
