SLICK CUTLASS CONVERTIBLE, ROCKET 350 V8, AUTO TRANS, PWR STEER/BRAKES, COOL!!!

This 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible represents exactly what's great about classic cruising drop-tops. It has beautiful lines, a cool color combo, and the space to carry everyone. Plus, the bucket seat interior and V8 power mean it's always fun for the driver.

The trim tag tells us this was born a Matador Red car, which is a nice radiant color for a convertible. It was refreshed in later years to keep a good gloss that looks good in the sunshine. The overall finish fits with the driver-ready style of this car. So it's for those of us who believe a convertible should be ready for drop-top cruising is a great idea at any moment. Part of the appeal of this car is also a nice look to the fundamentals, including the form-hugging chrome bumpers and clean windshield. It's not trying to sneak around as a 442 imposter, but the premium Cutlass Supreme convertible is certainly still sporty. It retains the wide front, sleek lines, and even the color-matched Super Stock wheels that we expect from its muscle car sibling. And this one even gets premium details with the white pinstriping coordinating nicely with the white folding roof.

With the flip of a switch, the roof powers down to reveal an intertwined red and white interior. It appears that much of this was done in 2012, and it makes for an attractive and coordinated package inside and out. There are impressive details like the plush red carpeting and two-tone door panels. Plus, the seats are well done with velour inserts that look rich and will do a nice job of saving the legs of you and your passengers on hot top-down days. This furthers the car's appealing cruiser style that also includes good rear seat legroom, an upgraded stereo, a classic CB radio, and provisions for R134a air conditioning (it likely needs a recharge to blow ideally cold again.) And this classic also knows plenty about individual comfort. You have front bucket seats, a center console, classic round gauges, and a full set of Summit backlit auxiliary readouts.

Under the hood is the Rocket 350 cubic-inch motor. Olds knew how to make hardy V8s, and so this setup is desirable today. It inhales deeply with a four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with a dignified tune from the dual exhaust. It's a strong runner and features like the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes round out a great total driving package.

The sale comes complete with build receipts, a nice maintenance history, and a car cover. This is the convertible that fits in everywhere, and it has the right features to be comfortably driven nearly anywhere. That's what makes it such an attractive and useful true American drop-top classic. Call today!!!
