Fuel-injected V8 power, an overdrive transmission, upgraded suspension, and a feature-filled A/C interior are all wrapped around a distinct and curvy sedan body. It's all what makes this 1937 Chrysler Royal Street Rod your rare opportunity at a great all-around custom.
The '37 Chrysler was a great place to start for a custom street machine. It has many of the same details we enjoy from other cars of the era, like the suicide doors, torpedo-like headlights, and trunk back design. But it is also distinctly different. There seems to be more definition in the classic rounded fenders, and this puts a unique face forward with an artful grille. Plus, and we love how the hood trim mimics the grille as it wraps around the front and then tapers off to create a full-length trim line. It's a wonderful design touch. That's what makes the factory style memorable, but this one is unforgettable for so much more. It's rendered in a modern dark cherry to instantly announce it's a custom machine. The driver-ready finish retains a good gloss to let the sunshine show off the curves of the well-done sheet metal. Description
They even eliminated the back bumper so you can see all the rounded lines in the rear. And there are the right details, including the upgraded headlights, painted front bumper, and polished 15-inch wheels.
The suicide doors are a great way to attract extra attention. But we also love a sedan because there's plenty of room for family and friends. They can spread out over an attractive interior that gives you an updated tweed look with a classic button-top presentation. This is loaded with all the best features, like power windows, power front locks, an overhead console, and upgraded AM/FM stereo w/cassette, and R134a air conditioning (it may need a recharge to be ideally cold.) You even have cruise control in this classic! That's why you also have such a good driver's setup with a wood-rimmed steering wheel, a tilt steering column, and upgraded gauges.
The impressive presentation continues under the hood. You have been upgraded to a 5.7-liter V8 with fuel injection. And they made sure to give this upgrade plenty of polish so you'll proudly lift the hood wherever you park. The TPI V8 is great for both power and consistency, and so it's great to see it paired to a four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive that can take you near or far with ease. This package is said to have less than 9k miles on it since installed! The full setup also has an upgraded tubular A-arm front end, power steering, power brakes, and front discs.
So we bet you're starting to see how this custom classic Chrysler has a nearly every day potential. That makes for a great vintage ride with which you can do so much more. So if you want to enjoy your classic car experience to the fullest, call today!
