NEW 1969 CAMARO, RS HEADLIGHTS, ORIGINAL LEMANS BLUE CAR, VERY NICE

Admit it, you like the slightly cleaner look of this 1969 Camaro RS coupe. They don't all have to be hardcore performance cars, they don't all have to have flashy stripes, and as this RS so easily demonstrates, sometimes you're just pleasantly surprised by the unusual.

Freshly refinished in its original Marina Blue with a white vinyl top, this bright Camaro is exactly the kind of car you would have seen cruising the PCH back in the early '70s. Clean, nicely detailed, and with enough performance to earn it some respect on the road, it escapes the faux SS look that makes most folks think EVERY 1969 Camaro had racing stripes. A cowl induction hood gives it a bit of an aggressive look, and the folding RS headlights (now electrically actuated for reliability) deliver a performance vibe that's all about the little stuff, not in-your-face aggression. An Endura-Flex front bumper certainly helps in that regard, as does the ducktail spoiler, so there's no mistaking this Camaro for anything else on the road. The chrome rear bumper and vinyl top are both new, so it looks crisp, bright, and factory-fresh throughout.

A new code 716 blue bucket seat interior again deviates from the norm by giving us ... Please ask for the full description.

A new code 716 blue bucket seat interior again deviates from the norm by giving us a taste of the Camaro's vast array of options and configurations. No console and a column-shifted automatic suggest a buyer on a budget, but that same buyer also spec'd out factory A/C, making this an unusual F-body that's still quite comfortable today. The seats use correct reproduction covers that have textured inserts that remain comfortable on long hauls, and with fresh carpets, new door panels, and that wild blue steering wheel, the entire interior has a high-quality look. The woodgraining on the dash warms things up in the otherwise icy blue driver's compartment and for entertainment, a JVC AM/FM/cassette stereo delivers a big improvement over the original AM unit. Those are original gauges in the dash and sticking to this car's less-is-more theme, there are no goofy aftermarket instruments hanging around. Bright blue seat belts were installed fore and aft for safety, and a glance in the trunk reveals a solid foundation and durable textured paint for long-term good looks.

The potent 350 cubic inch V8 under the hood really needs no introduction, and in this RS, you'll find that it's the ideal choice. With a Rochester Quadrajet carb, original intake, and a stock bottom end, it runs like a new car and delivers impressive performance at just about any speed. Chevy Orange gives it that showroom fresh look that we're all looking for, and things like the A/C system are 100% new. The open-element air cleaner, billet valve covers, and Flowmaster exhaust aren't exactly stock, but they certainly add to the ownership experience both on the road and on the show field. The transmission is a rugged TH350 3-speed automatic that doesn't care whether it's linked to a column or console shifter, and there's a 12-bolt rear end that should last practically forever behind the small block. Flashy chrome Torque Thrusts are perhaps the car's most noteworthy addition, and wear fat 245/45/17 performance radials at all four corners.

So if you're a Camaro fan looking for something a little different than all the rest, this handsome and quick RS certainly has plenty to offer. Call today!
