BUILT BIG BLOCK 454 V8, 700R4, 4-WHEEL DISCS, PWR STEER/BRAKES, HUGE POWER!!!

With popular cars like Chevy's Camaro, sometimes taking an unexpected turn can be a good thing. In a sea of Hugger Orange and shiny black F-bodies, this sinister-looking 1968 Chevrolet Camaro really stands out. Better yet, the brutal look is backed by a stout 454 cubic inch big block, upgraded suspension, overdrive transmission, and enough performance to make SS badges seem like an understatement.

It takes guts to paint one of the most familiar cars on the road flat black, but the rat rod no-nonsense look works rather well here. And just because you're using flat black paint doesn't mean you can skimp on quality because everything still shows up just like it does when they're glossy. As a result, this Camaro has very straight sheetmetal that wears that paint job like armor, daring you to find the flaws; there aren't many. A cowl induction hood and tail spoiler give it a familiar Camaro performance look, while a chin spoiler and slightly lowered suspension add to the aggressive profile. Nothing has been shaved or deleted, so you get shiny chrome bumpers, a stock grille, and 'Camaro' script emblems, and the factory brightwork stands out nicely against that low-yield paint job. No stripes are ... Please ask for the full description.

No stripes are needed when your car has a swagger like this one, and while it's far from perfect, it's exactly right for the image it's trying to project. Forget fussing over shiny paint, this one just begs to be driven.

The standard blue interior breaks no new ground but it's functional and effective for the business of driving. The seat covers appear to be older reproduction pieces, as are the carpets, while the door panels and back seat might be original to the car. The only notable deviations from stock are that attractive custom steering wheel and the big B&M shifter on the transmission tunnel, ideal for managing the 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission living underneath. The factory gauges are basic, so someone has added a big white Sunpro tach front and center on the steering column, plus a trio of auxiliary gauges under the dash, and that's OK with us. There's also a seriously upgraded entertainment system with a Sony head unit, speakers throughout the interior, and some heavy-duty subwoofers in the trunk to fill the car with sound. There's some wear and age on the interior components, but you should look at it as an opportunity to add your own twist to a car that's already pretty serious about going fast.

Why? Because of the massive 454 cubic inch V8 living under the hood. You can see where most of the money was spent when you glance at the high rise aluminum intake and QuickFuel 4-barrel carburetor, big aluminum radiator with aluminum fan, and a bunch of shiny dress-up parts. There's also a new alternator, upgraded power master cylinder, braided stainless fuel lines, and an Optima yellow-top battery to light it off. Long-tube headers and a cackling dual exhaust system add just the right sound, but if it's more intimidation you're after, there are electronic cut-outs to really give it a nasty voice. 4-wheel disc brakes are probably mandatory on something this quick, and the front suspension is upgraded with tubular A-arms and coil-overs to really make a difference in handling. Subframe connectors reinforce the tub and traction bars on the monoleaf rear springs keep the 10-bolt rear end planted even with the fast-revving big block is at full tilt. Polished Torque Thrust wheels look awesome against the low-shine paint and carry big 225/40/18 front and 255/45/18 rear performance radials.

It ain't a show car, but this nasty Camaro makes a statement. The hard work is done, all you need to do is get in and drive. Call today!
