An exceptionally well presented V8 classic is your first impression of this 1964 Studebaker Cruiser. But dig a little deeper, and you'll find this is a rare vehicle that has been given all the right investments and retains all the right originality to correctly represent a concluding chapter in Studebaker's history.
Most people view 1964 as a year Studebakers were only built in Canada, but this is an American-made machine. Part of the 1964 model year was complete in South Bend, Indiana, and this one was finished only about a month before Studebaker closed its American operation. But more than just a great story, this is one of the most desirable Larks you'll ever find. The factory-correct Sand paint has been given a terrific respray. Plus, a recent wet sanding has brought out the smooth shine even more. The Cruiser trim was the top of the Lark line, so while this was a compact car, it was far from economy looking. An exceptionally well presented V8 classic is your first impression of this 1964 Studebaker Cruiser. The bright revised grille, big chrome bumpers, distinctive tail panel, and full-length sweeping trim make this car instantly recognizable and quite premium in appearance. It all remains compete today because this sedan has lived a life of respect. You can tell because everything is still in place, from the factory wheel covers to the original dealer emblem on the trunk lid.
The included window sticker will tell you this is one loaded machine, but you have to see it to understand just how much of a time machine this really is. The tan cloth on the seats have a great button-top presentation as part of the premium interior. It coordinates nicely with the colors on the door panels and dash. Plus, the carpeting was recently replaced with correct colors and materials to keep this looking vintage but feeling fresh. This Cruiser has all the best features from its time – everything from the clock to the AM radio – and the factory features still work! There's even a dealer-installed air conditioning system.
The 289 cubic-inch V8 was the top motor for the Lark, so it has earned the extra flair on the correct yellow valve covers. But the best part of this fantastically original presentation is this is believed to be the original motor to the car. Not only does the V8 provide plenty of power, but the full driving experience is a great one with premium Studebaker factory options like the front disc brakes, power steering, and a three-speed manual transmission with highway-friendly overdrive. There are even sway bars front and rear. So the result is a great classic factory-correct classic that's easy to show off near or far.
This classic only gets nicer when you see all the paperwork that is included in the sale. Not only do you get the aforementioned original window sticker, but also the original bill of sale, owner's manual, title documentation, and maintenance receipts. A classic this great should never be this affordable, so you know how quick you have to be to grab this deal. Call today!!!
