#'S MATCH L76 327 V8 & 4SPD TRANS, 340HP, SPLIT-WINDOW, ONE YEAR, CLEAN IN/OUT!

A genuine 1963 Chevrolet Corvette coupes always gets enthusiasts excited. After all, it's a one-year only, split window car. And so when you can find one with a great original color combo, original L76 motor, and has stayed original right down to the drivetrain, well then, you know you're looking at a dream car up for grabs.

A first-year C2 Corvette is a car that always gets people talking. That's why we love to see this icon so complete. All the original design elements are still there, from the chrome vents in the hood to the ribbed rocker panels. You even get the factory knock-off hubcaps. But of course what makes these forever valuable is the genuine split rear window that only lasted one year before function took over for this stylish touch. And what really has us hooked is the factory-correct code 941 Sebring Silver color. It not only has a great name directly linking this to the Corvette's racing history, but also it seems a bit distinct over the more popular colors of the year like red and blue. The coupe was given a respray a few years ago. The result is that ideal situation where it has a shining silvery presence in the sunlight, but nothing about it makes you nervous ... And what really has us hooked is the factory-correct code 941 Sebring Silver color. It not only has a great name directly linking this to the Corvette's racing history, but also it seems a bit distinct over the more popular colors of the year like red and blue. The coupe was given a respray a few years ago. The result is that ideal situation where it has a shining silvery presence in the sunlight, but nothing about it makes you nervous to take this one out on the road and enjoy it properly. In fact, when we get into the mechanical details in a moment, you'll see this truly a great one for driving.

While black interiors always look great in Corvettes, we think that's especially true against the silver exterior. And with all the bright trim correctly still in place, this looks like a black and chrome two-tone. But more than just style, the Sting Ray was built for sports car function. That's why you have bucket seats, a grippy three-spoke steering wheel, and a gearshift that just feels like the perfect position for your right hand. The interior is complete, and everything feels quite original, right down to the full gauge package that loves to dance as you tip the accelerator.

Under the hood is the original, numbers-matching L76 V8. This had the highest compression available for the year, and today it still breathes through a correct Carter four-barrel carburetor. So this authentic first-year Sting Ray is still a correct powerhouse with its advertised 340 hp rating – the highest of any carbureted Corvette in '63. And since you'll want to show this V8 off, It still has its finned valve covers, bright distributor shield, and pie dish air cleaner lid that let people know how authentic this powerplant really is. The dual exhaust still makes that perfect snarl as you row through the four forward gears. So while this is a great one to talk about, it's even more fun to drive – especially with the Corvette's new fully independent suspension and optional 4.11 rear end with Positraction for nice power takeoffs.

Complete with owner's manual, this is the perfect iconic classic for show and go. And since you know how much a numbers-matching split-window Sting Ray is worth, you know this a valued classic at a very nice price. So don't miss out. Call now!
