QUALITY, 383 STROKER, AUTO W/ MANUAL VALVE, CUST INT, FORD 9", X-PIPE, GR8 LOOK!

Over 300,000 Chevy II Novas rolled off the assembly line in 1962, but not a single one was outfitted with a V8. However, hot rodders across the nation quickly changed that and started slamming small blocks in the Chevy II's to produce a lightweight challenger at the dragstrip. Two years later, Chevrolet decided to offer their first V8 powered Nova. This 1962 Chevy II Nova plays to hot rodders across the nation by packing a powerful 383 Stroker under the hood and complementing it with a super high end custom build. Let's take a closer look!

The tidy Chevy II was a more traditional approach to the compact car wars of the time, it was a tad larger than the Corvair, but still smaller and lighter than an Impala or Bel Air. It's also quite a good looking car, restrained and smooth, with styling that echoes some of its big brothers in the GM line. This one is simply stunning, covered in a gorgeous shade of blue. The lines of the early nova were simple and give a clear Muscle Car feel to the overall look of the car. It's clear that the builder spent weeks blocking the bodywork to get it just about as straight as humanly possible, and it shows. The brightwork is in great shape, and all the emblems ... The brightwork is in great shape, and all the emblems and trim look as if they are almost brand new. Whether you drive it to the street or strip, this Nova will not disappoint the onlookers.

Simple interiors were typical of the early Chevy II's, but that's not now the case at all here. Pop open the doors and a custom tan leather interior will greet you. The two comfortable leather bucket seats are separated by a matching middle console that houses the controls for the 3-speed automatic. In front of the driver is a chrome steering wheel that sits on a chrome steering column. Beyond the wheel, you'll find a custom dash that houses a slick Dakota Digital gauge cluster. On the floor the tan carpets are in great shape, and are protected by floor mats. Behind the driver, the car has been outfitted with a roll cage to protect driver and passenger, should you want to unleash the beast we will soon discuss. Overall, the interior is in excellent shape and accents the blue exterior extremely nicely.

NOW...Pop open the hood and the custom theme continues as a beautiful, and beautiful sounding, 383 stroker V8 lies in the engine bay. Ready for show or go, the engine is absolutely stunning. Outfitted with a custom twin breather air filter, the engine already garners plenty of looks in our showroom. The motor which features a hydraulic roller cam, sends power to a 3-speed full manual valve bodied automatic transmission. It is also equipped with a transbrake to compete at the strip. From there power flows to the 9" Ford rear end, equipped with a 3.89 Detroit locker. Spent gasses travel through a performance X-pipe and out Moroso mufflers equipped with manual dumps. Below the engine you'll notice right away that the chassis has been outfitted with a TCI front suspension setup and a Chris Alston rear suspension. Stopping power comes courtesy of 4-wheel disc brakes that sit in front of staggered 17" and 18" chrome rims nicely equipped with hidden valve stems.

It's hard to find vehicles like this that are this streetable, yet so worthy in a stoplight drag. This shows as good as you can imagine as it appears no expense was spared. So trust us, a build this impressive won't last long under our showroom lights! Call today!
