VERY NICE CUSTOM, VERY GOOD PAINT/BODY, 1600 CC, 4 SPD, HARD TOP, EXC INTERIOR!

With the Volksrod scene steadily growing across the country, it's about time we offered one to you. This is about starting with a 1974 Volkswagen Beetle and applying some cool old school custom practices to create a unique, fun, and affordable way to keep you motoring.

Somewhere between a Ford Model A hot rod and a Porsche 356 Speedster lies this Volksrod. The recipe starts out with the lovable Beetle, but then adds in some serious attitude. It begins with removing the fenders and adding a custom rear deck to make this a true two-person hot rod. Move up the front suspension, add larger rear tires, and lower the whole project until it's hugging the ground like a good custom should. Add in plenty of cool touches like the chopped windshield, hot rod half-moon hubcaps, shaved suicide doors, custom rear hood with air scoops, headlights within the fender wells, and low removable hardtop to give you a great profile even with the roof in place. Then go to work on the body to make sure all the all of your modifications have been properly installed and filled. Then add on top of that the perfect shade of slick bright red to grab everyone's attention.

Inside is a tan interior that nicely ... Please ask for the full description.

Inside is a tan interior that nicely matches the removable hardtop. There's a pair of custom leather bucket seats that look and feel like Porsche quality. But what probably the first thing to grab your attention first are the floors. These unique wood slats are barefoot comfortable and have instant appeal whenever someone wants to check out the interior of your custom VW. In true hot rod style, there is very little to distract you from the pure driving experience. The steering wheel is a nice piece of artistry that also slims down the original wheel's weight; the speedometer is the old school Beetle VDO readout; and this has been upgraded to an EMPI performance shifter.

As custom as this Volksrod is, one place that is pretty standard is the engine bay, and that's a good thing. VW's 1600 cc flat-four is the backbone on which the Beetle built its sold reputation. So this one has had a few modifications that give it a little extra growl out of the dual exhaust, but it still fires up with legendary air-cooled reliability and enthusiasm. Best of all, there's a vast catalog of VW cheap-n-easy parts available to you. So not only can you maintain your custom Volksrod quite easily, but also you can upgrade it even further if you so desire. Right now this one already is the perfect companion to drive everywhere from the beach, to a car show, thanks to the four-speed manual transmission, which allows you to get the most out of the motor. Plus, those cool whitewalls disguise the added grip of BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires.

There's no other custom roadster out there guaranteed to grab as much attention, or put as big a smile on your face for this low of a price. The Volksrod crowd is growing, but that doesn't mean you're ever going to find one like this, or as nice, again anytime soon. Call today!!
