Did you ever want to date the model on the cover of the magazine? Well now you can own one! This show-stopping 1966 Ford Mustang 2+2 fastback is a stunning restomod that's so unique and powerful that it cannot escape the spotlight. Add that it has been dressed up in fantastic Shelby GT350 fashion, and you have a big winner!

That paint you can't take you eye off of is called Legend Lime. It came out of the '95 Mustang color palette as a deeper and richer way to showcase the Mustang's iconic Lime Gold hue, and that seems like the exact right idea on this restomod. After all, as your eyes take in the full slickness of this shimmering clearcoat, you're going to start to see amazing details that blend the vintage and new worlds of Mustang into one very unique custom build. It starts up front with the billet grille and mirror-like bumper, but what really grabs your attention is the cowl hood. Along the side, this one is free from ornamentation, which helps you notice the cool touches like the fourth generation door handles and the Shelby quarter windows. Even the rear has been cleaned up with a shaved trunk lock and better fitting roll pan. All of this looks great with the white GT350 ... Please ask for the full description.

All of this looks great with the white GT350 decals to make this Shelby tribute pop. But possibly the piece that you will notice the most are the Foose Legend wheels. That goes perfect with Legend paint, right? Others seem to thinks so too, because this is the cover car for Modified Mustangs and Fords magazine as well as the Summit catalog.

If you thought the exterior was tastefully custom, just wait until you open the door. The same great green is used here as an accent color to give this car a uniform feeling, but a performance black is the main attraction. It utilizes modern TMI sport buckets, and in a very cool setup, they are covered in the iconic "Pony" package that's so famous on the original Mustangs. From the moment you sit behind the wheel, you can tell there was serious investment in this custom. You get a black and chrome Boyd billet steering wheel. Beyond that is a full set of AutoMeter gauges that have a cool green glow. To your right is a custom center console that houses the air conditioning, cup holder, and AM/FM/CD stereo with aux hookup. So not only is this attractive for the driver, but also your passengers get to stay comfortable, too.

Open the hood and you instantly know that's a far more modern and powerful V8 than what came in the original Mustang. It's a fuel-injected 302 cubic-inch motor out of a fourth generation car. It's obvious to see it has been rebuilt for shimmering show-stopping looks, but there is a lot of substance to backup this performance style. This includes adding a Ford Racing E303 cam, tubular GT40 intake, 70mm throttle body, 75mm mass air flow sensor, Ford Racing stand alone wiring, and ECM MSD billet distributor, and blaster coil. This is mated to a T5 five-speed manual transmission with a Ford Motorsports HD clutch assembly. But just don't get impressed with the drivetrain list; you should look at all the pictures, including the undercarriage. There you will see the same Legend Green underneath because this is built to be a true award-winner. Of course, now you'll also pick up on all of the performance suspension components. This includes up front Grab-A-Trac 620-pound coil springs, one-inch sway bar, KYB shocks, and Flaming River rack and pinion power steering. Out back there's Grab-A-Trac leaf springs with KYB shocks. Plus, SSBC four-wheel disc brakes all around with braided stainless lines keep control well in hand.

It's not just the paint and drivetrain that makes this quality fastback so special. These pictures and included restoration receipts prove that from the engine bay to the undercarriage there is nothing but high quality work that's worthy of taking home all the trophies. So the only question left is, which car magazine do you want to be on the cover of next? Call today!!
