You're looking at pickup that will always have value and attract attention in the vintage truck community. Not only are Chevrolet's “Advanced Design” pickups one of the best looking old-school haulers around, but also this one has the optional rear quarter side glass. These five-window pickups are in very high demand, for both their appearance and rarity. Beyond that is an exceptionally honest workhorse with a straight body, a few nice chrome touches, and a real wood truck bed. Overall, it just looks like its been earning its living every day for the last 60+ years, and doesn't that just make you want to create your own fictitious hardware store name, just so you can stencil it on the doors?

This is a very cool vintage pickup that is going to let you choose your own adventure. You can buy this affordable 1953 Chevrolet 3100 to use as a turnkey honest classic cruising pickup. But since this is also a rare and desirable five-window truck, it is also the perfect candidate for any build, from a factory original, to hot rod.
You're looking at pickup that will always have value and attract attention in the vintage truck community. Not only are Chevrolet's "Advanced Design" pickups one of the best looking old-school haulers around, but also this one has the optional rear quarter side glass.
The inside nearly looks like a time machine thanks to a recent refresh of the black and white interior. The vinyl bench seat shows no wear, and the same can be said for the door panels and carpeting. Pickups from the 1950s didn't come adorned with a long feature list, and that actually adds to this 3100's charm. This is part of an era where its heater was a valued feature because it gave you a chance to warm up on your way home from working the day in the outdoors. Those are the kinds of things you think about from this truck's big airy and open cabin. You get to connect to a bygone era on a leisurely Sunday drive.
The real options in a workhorse pickup come in the engine bay. This one carries the period-correct larger 235 cubic-inch inline-six. The all-black block makes the eye immediately take notice of the original-style carburetor and chrome oil bath air cleaner. As expected, this is the kind of classic tough truck engine that has some serious workman torque, and a fantastic old exhaust note that chugs along like a freight train. For that added touch of period-correct fun, the motor is mated to a three-speed column shift manual transmission. One helpful piece of equipment is the set of Goodyear Wrangler RT/S tires. This is part of a more modern rally wheel pack that is on this truck. It doesn't look out of place because on a faithfully continuous workhorse like this one, you would expect it to want the best in grip.
In case you haven't noticed, we are already big fans of this truck as it is. There's a huge amount of potential from mild to wild, but until you decide its next chapter, this five-window pickup will provide you with plenty of smiles. Call today!!
