250 CID L-HEAD 6 CYL, 2 SPEED SEMI-AUTO, VERY COOL CAR, GREAT CRUISER, MUST SEE!

It's hard to find a nicely presented classic that looks period-correct without breaking the bank...or is it? This 1950 Chrysler Windsor Highlander Club Coupe is a clean and complete example. Not only do you rarely see these today, but this also has some rare features (like tartan seat inserts.) And so to find one with a strong-running powerplant makes for the kind of car you really need to get to know.

Chryslers of this era were some of the most traditionally styled cars in their class, and today that just seems to amplify the vintage appeal. So it's great to find one where the sheet metal is nice enough where you really see the curves in the fenders and the doors line up with care. There are great premium details, like the three-piece back window, winged hood ornament, and a grille with two bars of brightwork that wrap around the front. You don't get to see these kinds of details unless a car has been well-preserved to such a high standard. If you were looking for a show-stopper, then the value price leaves room in your budget to take it to the next level, but that's not the real point here. The way this one is currently presented strikes a real honesty. The red is nice and ... Please ask for the full description.

And so to find one with a strong-running powerplant makes for the kind of car you really need to get to know.

The red is nice and glossy without getting boisterous. And there are cool vintage details, like the yellow driving light and the windshield sunshade. So the moment that you take this one out of our showroom, it has the right vintage personality where it looks like it has spent the last 70 years taking this Chrysler out of the garage only to take it on a meandering drive to Sunday church.

When you open the door, the tartan cloth inserts in the seats and doors immediately catch your eye. They are a distinctive piece that also helps signal the higher-end Highlander trim. It looks like they have been updated to keep the style distinctive and inviting. But just like the exterior, any updating inside has never tried to take away from the overall vintage charm. The dash has that ideal post-war premium brightwork presentation, and the style is intricate, right down to the steering wheel. You'll enjoy looking over it all, including details like the working courtesy lights and the AM radio that's there for a display. It's a true classic cruiser.

With a car that's looked this classically authentic so far, it's a delight to find a year-correct 250 cubic-inch six-cylinder under the hood. The engine bay is tidy and quite authentic, showing original-style parts including the oil bath air cleaner and Spitfire cast head. But you can also see a nice investment in newer fundamentals like the plugs, wire, and coil. And the way this classic fires up and runs reaffirms the feeling of a quality car. Another distinct classic piece is the semi-automatic transmission with two speeds and overdrive for both (effectively a four-speed.) It's a fun feature that adds to the uniqueness and drivability of this Chrysler.

A cool coupe style and plenty of distinctive features make for a terrific vintage driver offered for a terrific price. Call today!!!
