202 INLINE SIX, HYDRAMATIC TRANSMISSSION, FRONT DISC, ONLY 2 YEARS IN PRODUCTION

This is the end of an era. The 1954 Hudson Jet was the final year for the model and one of the final years for the brand. It makes this well-presented two-tone classic an affordable way to be distinctly different.

The Jet is one of those cars that made a footnote for being good but not being around very long. Hudson made a car with the best style of the era. That meant a wide chrome grille up front, more chrome on the bumpers, and of course, jet-inspired tail lights. And they even did innovative pieces for the era, like a unibody construction. This example is also in premium Super Jet trim with added brightwork and a sporty-looking scoop-style hood ornament. The premium flair also goes well with the added continental kit. This example looks nice with good lines and glossy light green paintwork. Plus, the white roof and whitewall tires add a cool two-tone style. As attractive as this car is, it didn't find a big audience. There were only about 14,200 examples made in 1954, which is not a lot for a car hoping to get into the mainstream. And so the Jet line was canceled only after its second year. While that's an unfortunate story for the 1950s, today it makes such a ... Please ask for the full description.

And so the Jet line was canceled only after its second year. While that's an unfortunate story for the 1950s, today it makes such a well-presented example like this a true rare standout at just about any car show.

There's more great original style inside. You see it in the artful steering wheel, bright dash trim, and special Jet badging on the doors. Even the AM radio is there for display. While this was Hudson's compact offering, the Jet was known for being roomy. And this one keep that comfortable tradition going with an attractive green vinyl and textured cloth combo. There are even nice details, like the matching door panels and seatbelts.

Hudson cars were known for their inline-six motor, so it's great to see a proper long block under the hood. This 202 cubic-inch motor fires up easily and has a smooth feeling that makes an inline motor so appealing. This car was set up to be a cruiser, that's why you have a Hydramatic automatic transmission. Plus, there are good upgrades like an aluminum radiator, a modern tread behind the classic whitewalls, and the stopping power of front disc brakes.

Complete with some classic literature, this Jet is a rare car that also upholds the best of the classic American virtues. So if you want to stand out in all the best ways, call today!!!
